  1. Not had any problems running the 1uzfe on a Hp22 and not had any problems with the Lt230 (low range and the diff removed for a single shaft). And axles are standard shafts all round but a Kam Lsd in the back and an Ashcroft Atb in the front. Not broke anything in 6 seasons! Rolled 3 times yes but not broke! My guess is 205x80 tyres and lots off wheel spin!
  2. Hello first post on here and the subject is of interest to me. Have raced with rovers for a number of years (comp safari) used most sizes and built with nearly all the options you can ,cams, heads, blocks, and such like. The last was 3.9 with a supercharger (went well of its knees but ran out of steam at 4200rpm but that was the blowers fault not the engine.) Last three years have used a 1uzfe lump out of a Celsoir 1993 standard engine at first with the Toyota ECU just a few niggles. Now running on a Microsquirt and theres a massive difference both power and torque. Pulls like a train in any gear and with the rev limit set at 7200 never feels as if its going to let go!!. Rovers a good old lump for what it does cheap as standard but expensive to get more and also risk the reliability. Toyota newer design built to launch Lexus as brand against BMW/Merc and other top brands they had to get it right from the word go!!!. Just a few photos of my build.https://picasaweb.google.com/103361575555833061455/JohnSCompMotor?noredirect=1#
  3. Have,nt had a problem with the time, ing covers on the Toyota engine its very well sealed the plastic covers are fitted with rubber edge,s that seem to seal very well. I also run an all,y plate cut to fit the chassis rail from the front cross member right back to a crossmember under the bellhouse, ing. Get only a small amount of dirt under the bonnet most of this comes around the coilovers. [/img]
  4. I run a Lexus 4.oltr in a comp motor on a zfhp22 4speed auto, replaced a supercharged 3.9 Rover with it over the winter. The Lexus is different animal!. Rev,s well it just keeps going and even on the limit it never feels as if its going to let go! .Power well 260Bhp with no cat,s and more Torque than a 4.6 at about the same rpm. Not an easy fit tho! lots of work on the bellhous, ing and had to make a sump to clear the diff on full bump travel.
