Sod doing all them windows DIY, its cheap enough to get it done professionally these days and most places give you a warrenty!
  2. Thats right, its got the main bits there but its the tyres that are my main concern as it has rubbish ones fitted at the moment which look like they'd have trouble gribbing the tarmac let alone anything else! To be honest, i'm not an angry driver so i'm sure I wouldnt be personally responsible for breaking bits and poeces although i'm sure its not a real Landy if its still on its OE drivetrain lol I'll probably look at changing the suspension from the Britpart 2" kit thats on there, the rear shockers are leaking anyway so will probably go with a 3" kit next for clearance and then look at getting more articulation if its needed, im yet to drive it though so dont really want to spend lots for no reason, would rather spend time researching into the right bits then spending lots of money on rubbish parts!
  3. Could be that its accident damaged and rather than repair it he's splitting it up instead....
  4. Hi all, yes another tyre question...sorry!! I'll keep it short and sweet, I have a 5door 300TDi Disco which is on some road like tyres and i'm wanting to upgrade to something with more meat....I love the look of the Insa Turbo's or one of their replica tyres. My Disco is lifted 2", has +2" Paddocks arches (arches are cut behind for clearance), and is running 8J Modulars. If I fit the tyres I mentioned in that particular size, will I encounter problems out in the mud or when articulated? http://members.shaw.ca/jbarge/tires.html says: Rear fender trimming-----arches cut already Front endcap trimming-----not the end of the world, can always remove the bumper end caps anyway Steering stops-----??? Possible bump stop height.-----?? Its to be used as a toy most of the time so wont spend much time on the road (commuting, shopping trips etc) and is to be used mostly for pay/play days and greenlaning. The other thing that concerns me is that people say with Turbo's, your more likely to bust the running gear when the tyres do get grip- is this a likely story or should I look at other slightly tamer tyres? Looking for tyres wider than the 235's fitted currently as they dont tend to fill the arches as well. Thanks in advance, Paul.
