On a recent expedition to the Mojave Desert with our Landrover V8 130 crewcab , it developed a nasty banging a grating noise when we manouvered
at slow speed at sharp turns, which sounded almost terminal. We cured it by removing one rear halfshaft ; but this limited our offroad
capability for the rest of the 21 days, Up to then it had performed well for 3 years apart from a occassional clunk and jolt.
I note David Ashcroft sates on his www that he no longer supplies the Landrover Detroit Locker due to problems ; does this apply to
the Salisbury Differential ? Does any reader know the phone number of a Detroit Locker Agent in the UK . as the American one has
failed to reply to my e-mail.
