  1. further details the car is a soft dash 3.9l when in traffic or low range on a hot day it will not even engage the starter, at the moment i've set up an under bonnet starter button straight to the starter solinoid to discount the gearbox temperature switch located on the front top of the transmission. will update when next fails to see if bypassing the entire ignition system works.
  2. futher problem to this issue mine softdash is refusing to start when hot(after low range work or very hot day in traffic) warning light for transmission comes up on dash and after a 20 to 40 minute rest reg. starts and runs as if nothing has happened, ive been told that the tranny sensor next to the radiator is only a warning light so my question is what sensor is fitted to the beast that will inhibit starting when hot? chris
  3. can anyone help with ideas for a 94 classic that won't start when hot. will not even turn over it seems to be a protection for something because after 20 to 40 mins will fire up and run perfect again. only doing this on hot days or after hard runs in low but still a pain that needs dealing with. chris
  4. can anyone offer help on a range rover classic softdash, ecu will not power up air compressor, bridge across relay terminals and compressor works fine. also when hooked up to outside air system works ok.appears to be failing to send signal to relay? next what series is the compressor ive been told its a thomas but not the series? last ive just found an intermittant fault in the d/s electric seat stopping all functions along with the external mirrors? any help would be great. chris
