Maybe I'm getting the wrong name for it I've heard it called a compensator valve as well I'm just confused as the newer 90's have one and also my friend has a series 3 which has one on it :-S
I'm in the process of rebuilding my 1988 90 and can't find a bias valve in my pile of parts that I took of it when stripping it! I notice that it seems to be only 90's with discs all round mine has drums on the back should I have one?
This is a part number for the only kind I can find can't seem to find a pre 94 one :-S --- NTC8836
Thanks
Hi this is my first time actually asking for help as iv always been able to find what I need through other threads on here.
I am in the process of building a 1988 defender and have reached the brakes and have noticed out of al the bit I took apart there is no brake pressure valve of brake compensator as I've heard it called. I have read in one of the Haynes manuals that it is only on certain models BUT my friend has a series 3 that has one and also another friend has a 2005 TD5 which also had one so I would find it hard to believe if mine didn't have it. If so does anyone know the part number!?
My master cylinder has 2 outputs I notice the new models have 3 and 2 go to the pressure valve and 1 to the offside front brake.
Thanks for your help!
