I took a different approach to the whole tyre thing. I had a look around the place that U hunt on and found the the worst bit of ground I would have to get through. Then got the round black things that I thought would manage it. Ignoring road noise and MPG. It just does not cheer me up,knowing how quiet the tyres are when stuck in a puddle. So i stuck some Saharas on there and was presently surprised about the road noise they make ...or lack of it.

Check the bulb connectors and the bulbs of your head lights before you pull anything else to bits. I had a similar problem a couple of weeks ago and ended up sorting the wiring and connectors out and problem sorted.

Hi folks
I want to mount a remote controlled spot light on the roof of my Disco and was thinking about how to route the wiring to it so that it does not cause leaks etc.
Another thing is, can I mount it permanent on there or does it have to be removable for MOT checks and the likes.
I was thinking about something like THIS

I have just ordered a set of these http://www.camskill.co.uk/order.php?submit=Go+To+Shopping+Basket At that price you have to do a lot of miles on the more expensive BF shoes to pay for themselves. Mind you, I use them off the road more then on it with my bunny bashing transport.

As far as I know, the pre 95 model has no relay for the lights and it runs direct over the switch in the stalk. 95 and after the relay is behind the panel on the passenger side, There are two there and one of them is for the lights and the other for the washer pump.

found it, but started at the wrong end At the end it was a cracked wire behind the head light on the left hand side. I cut the lot back and put new bulb connectors and a few new copper bits in there while I was at it. Now I have a spare relay and am going to put some lights on the roof rail for my night time bunny hunting excursions.
Thanks again for all your input.

I have put in a new relay and the result is the same. The resistor is working as well. I bridged 30 and 87 to see if that would get the lights on ( line of thought was to eliminate the relay but alas it did not change anything. Thank you for your input so far.

I have a 95 300tdi and today when I was going to turn the head lights on, both did not work. No fuses blown and both bulbs are ok but there is a relay on the passenger side clicking like mad. I have bridged the contacs on said relay but nothing is happening. I checked the fuses under dash and in the engine compartment and not a blown one in either box.The rear light work fine and so does the high beam ( much to the annoyance of other road users )
Do any of you clever people have a suggestion??

That is expensive considering that spares and consumables for Land rover are pretty cheap. You can get a set of filters ( Air, Fuel and oil ) for under 20 quid. So charging over 300 is a bit steep I think for the work involved.
