  1. If yopu have a look at the D3 forum, there are couple of members who travel around the UK and conduct gearbox flushes. Seems to cure the problem in a load of cases.
  2. Surely if you are repairing vehicles for profit you are a legit business. Therefore you have insurances to go with your business?? Does that insurance not come with legal advice?
  3. As I said LR are using NOLDEN lights. That is clear. Peole have even quoted LR part numbers.
  4. I'm sure the run out models are using Nolden headlights. Have a look at the Def2 forum. LOTS of interesting debate over the different brands. Nolden, JWSpeaker and Trucklite. Pays your money, takes your chances
  5. Fit one of these. I havenever heard anything so loud in the confines of a garage it will be unberable http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Masterblaster-127BA-Alarm-Siren-SLM-0001-Formerly-18-980043-/111215254893?pt=UK_Burglar_Alarms&hash=item19e4f21d6d
  6. When did it move from Pippingford Park? When there once a long time ago to watch. A good day out
  7. Or if you want an answer with a bit of knowledge behind it rather than people just trawling the interweb. Head over to Dosco3 forum. Loads of people on there who will of had the same problem and reported back ecxactly what the syptoms are and their chosen route to repair the issue
  8. WWII Orientated. Push down the French coast a bit from Calias and go to Arramanches. The concrete caissons can be seen that were the breakwater, even 1 sunk on the beach so you can go stand next to it. Awesome sight. Then go to see St Nazairre. You can still get inside the sub pens, go up on the roof and have a good look around. ANd then visit the museum there for the full story.
  9. I have in the past purchased a brand new genuine TD5 chassis direct from LR. That came with no numbers stamped into it. My assumption was that I had to stamp my number into the new chassis. Went through 5 or 6 MOT's in the time I owned it wioth no issues
  10. Steve Hill in Brislington seems to get a good review on the Disco 3 forum
  11. Why not fit a temp sender into the sump? That way you have a stable temp to work from. As said by others the bog brush isn't up to the job. Fit a mocal cooler. Make sure you use 1/2" dia hoses or you won't get the flow you require
  12. Bloody hell. Don't remember seeing that in the press. Was it widely publicised in the UK??? So are they running the Euro as well or staying with their own currency? So not long then til CT is dead???
  13. OK, didn't realise you were thinking along those lines. But hasn't Croatia been trying to enter the EU for years? Nothing has been mentioned of a joining date as far as I can see on the net but that doesn't mean it hasn't been mentioned. Either way it looks agreat event, shame there isn't anything closer to home
  14. Will run for years in it's current format. Can't see why it should change? Or need to. Does it run to any motoring organisation? MSA or the Croatian equivalent?
  15. I thought Q plates were a thing of the past. Remember reading it somewhere, possibly here that they were being phased out.
  16. That should make a few people happy though. Saves a lot of hassle for some with their choice of company car
  17. This is what I was referring to http://www.olmc.eu/questions/dual_purpose_vehicles.php
  18. Didn't think you needed an O licence if you were using a dual purpose vehicle for work? Which a LR is classed as.
  19. Nevermind that. But a day here would see you poorer than a poor thing Si. And it's open all year round http://www.buildstore.co.uk/mykindofhome/index.html
  20. Although you say Jim is leading. That is the prologue which is a quick 2km blast through the woods. So to say he's leading is a bit of a misnomer. He's currently 3rd after the first day of real competition. Trophy day today with night stage tonight. Makes for a long day. Good luck to all UK teams though.
  21. @ Mo Where in the UK do you live if you have no electric?? Never used a gas soldering iron but a mate swears by his. Never uses an electric version
  22. The tank jump leads are known as "slave Leads" Newer mil LR will have a slave socket so it's not just tanks that use them. I have seen them on the net for close to 400 quid each.
  23. or get rid of the adverts and put stolen vehicles in their place. That way everyone gets to see them and no one would begrudge a bit of screen space to that.
  24. Thought that to have HID fitted you had to have self levelling kit fitted and they had to be E marked. Or is this the case of your tester interpreting the rules to suit the outcome that he wants.? Like most testers do anyway.
  25. Not 100% sure but I think the tipping bed sits on the chassis when down and can be locked down. As for the ramps. 8' ramps weigh a ton. Not for ther feint hearted!!!
