  1. My personal veiw is depending on why you need them? my back arches are missing the edges so have cut the lower wings from another scrap disco and will blend them in to my body work, I did look at the plastic arches but decided they are 1, mud traps. 2, expensive. and 3, plastic
  2. It's posts like this that make this forum invaluable to me, only shame when I will need it i doubt I will be able to find it
  3. OK this is going to seem rather dumb, what is IIRC?
  4. Thanks piper and fatbloke that's useful info
  5. Thanks guys, was looking around at getting a Vogue V8, so wondered what the latest one I could probably get, ditched the idea of a P38, to many electrics for my liking
  6. Can I tow a sankey trailer on a claw and pin type hitch fitting or do I have to have the Nato hitch?
  7. Does anyone know if a TD5 back loading door will fit a 300TDi, or, does anyone know of an after market third brake light that fits tight to the glass like the TD5 one. I'm going to black out the rear window and fit a grill for security and would like to sort out the brake light first. I.ve been offered a complete TD5 door for £40.00 so cost is not the problem
  8. Does anyone know what year the last Range Rover Classics were built?
  9. Nice one rangie, that's similar to the one I saw in Wickford
  10. Thanks obz100 will look into that
  11. I could always use the long chassis option
  12. You say you used a kit? what was the source and what was included?
  13. That's the sort of thing obz100, nice job, what did you use for the cab back?
  14. Saw a disco 1 which had been converted to a cab with a drop side body on the back in Wickford essex , anyone seen it or knows who's it is?, would love to see more of it as that is exactly what I was planning to do to one.
  15. Thanks for the link karlo, I have got the 2 way connectors here now but have also ordered 3 way so have them too, some mentioned about converting the bumper lights to stop and tail which I am looking into your link shows the lamps I could get to raid the bulb holders Someone correct me if I'm wrong, is the defender back stop and tail have the same plug connector?
  16. it's has been done with a 5 door, see link Link
  17. Anyone know where i can get the plugs for the rear bumper lights?, have just bought new lights but the plugs on the harness are knackered. Also is the rear part of the wiring loom seperate from the main loom?
  18. Yep thanks barmiebrumie, think this is the route I may have to take
  19. I must admit it is one thing I have been looking at, the other is cut them off and fab new one's, at least I can beef them up a bit and use 10mm bolts
  20. I use a cd marker pen, has a good point and doesn't rub off easy
  21. Ok here one for you, been doing my rear chassis/ body mounts this weekend and although that went fine the tow bar mounts on the chassis sheared the bolts when I removed it. I have tried knocking them out after stacks of Plusgas and even tried heat but all to no avail, it's the same both sides, my next move is to cut off the mounts from the chassis and form new one's, unless someone here has a better idea
  22. Hi, I'm on the look out for a Range Rover P38 and although there is no rush at the moment, wonder if any owners here could give their recommendations as to what to look out for as far a faults and rot are concerned, other than dodgy air bags and tailgate rot Btw will likely to be a big V8 Thanks
  23. I got mine in B&Q (one of those impulse buys) had it 3 years now it's a Mac Alistar and although not used it a great deal when I have it performs really well, from drilling 20mm holes in 10mm steel plate to cutting oak plugs for skirting screw holes.
