I then pulled it up and now it's solid will not move.Me thinks I need a new clutch. Is there anyone in my area that could fix it. I could put it inside my barn if power or light is required.Any other suggestions welcome. My Post code is PO7 4RA I am hoping not to be off the road for long?

  10. Hi to all I have a problem I wonder if anyone can help.My defender 90 battery is draining overnight,so I thought I would turn everything off, and remove the neg lead.I put a multimeter from neg terminal to neg lead and check fuses. But unfortunately the reading I am getting on the meter is 12.7v the same if i touch the body.
  11. Hi the final update, and a big thanks to you all for your advice, Vulcan Bomber advice was spot on,The 90 degree hose bend from the Turbo to the intercooler had delaminated on the inside wall, a small hole in the outer wall let the air in between the two layers creating a balloon effect blocking off the air flow. That simple but so hard to detect. Bye the way the cost of the little bend £52 Regards Trevor
  12. Hi Guys another update,The intercooler in & out pipes are sucking in when revving up,I put a screwdriver under the rubber pipe air rushes in and runs OK.
  13. Hi Guys Update the turbo makes a whistle sound with air intake off, sounds like a Supercharged Sports car turns heads (But thats not helping me with the problem). If I blow compressed air in the turbo intake puff of smoke and all's fine, run like a dream and starts all day long. Me thinks it's a air or Turbo issue.??
  14. Hi guys thanks for all the possible causes. Will get a compression test done, she's done only 130,000 Turbo make a noise need to check that as well.
  15. Hi No water loss,No sign of water in the oil or on the filler cap,No loss of power.
