hi thanks for the replies. have sorted it by adding some weld to the brake pad edge then grinding it back to a good fit then painting the weld. has worked great so far, but am going to get some newones in the future.

hi on my on mreg 300 tdi i have a problem with the rear brakes. it seems the brake pad is coming too far throught the caliper and is running on the bell of the brake disc, do i have the wrong pads? or are the calipers stuffed? any help will be gratefully recieved. thanks

ok i have a m reg 300 tdi disco manual with the r380 gear box. Some times theres a rattle coming from the gear box on idle but when you put the clutch down it stops and then comes back when you let it up but its not on all the time. Also theres a clunk sometimes when i change gear and its not the a frame joint as have just changed it. i was wondering if its the clutch making the noises but not sure and was wondering if anyone has encounted anything like this on there vehicles. thanks for the help.

hi thanks for the replies. its a Mreg also it had a new alternator fitted just before i bought it and its not a landrover one, cant really see any names on it apart from the remains of a label with a part no. on it. Also had to fit a new binnacle as the one in when i bought it was stuffed thanks for the help.

hi all have had my disco 300 for a few months now, well im was curious to what revs should the engine be doing at 70 on the motor way. as mine seems to be around 3250 at 70 in 5th gear is this correct? its a five speed manual with the r380 box. thanks for the help
