  2. I know its a bit of a wierd one but someone on here might know... I am after the wieght of a LT230 transfer box so I can get it couried... I have searched all over.. Just thinking that someone on here might have sent one before and remembered the "wiegh in"... Many thanks..
  3. Cam belt went on 90 and I ended up in the slow lane of a dual carraigeway going uphill with NO drive... I can't see out of my side windows... Looking out theback door at the rear, and out the drivers side window at the traffic in the fast lane thought it would be a good idea (hazards on) to roll back and try and get on to the pavement... Redbridge Causeway, Southampton. Did'nt see the sign..... Then ended up moving the 90 off the sign (starter motor and key) before the coppers turned up!!
  4. Bagsey me follow Jules then as I'm in the wifes Renault Megane ... Should be interesting.....
  5. P.S: I'm after 200/300 tdi for my 90... ..and I've never before checked the engine numbers on potential donor engines (and don't plan to) so I WILL be at Sodbury looking for one..
  6. Uuuummmm, what has sodbury got to do with car theft??? Thats like saying scrap yards should be banned because people steal cable from electricity substations!! Most 4x4's are probabaly stolen to order for thier bits or exported.. which is why you rarley hear of them getting recovered.. Because the the trucks halfway to Dubai, or the engines now powering someone elses truck.. Sorry... Just had to post....
  7. !! BREAK IT !!! ( i could do with some bits... ) Good luck mate. Dave White sadlrc.co.uk
  8. Minivin, Is there anybody you know that is going up there as there are plenty of friendly people in the club that would take you for a ride-around..?
  9. Frowned apon really now as we are trying to get set up with MSA, avoid recovery incidents, etc.. We had mothers with pushchairs up at Bunny Lane last year and had a bit of a near miss so are saying no from now on.. Sorry... Dave
  10. Solent and District Landrover Club are hosting a playday near Minstead, in the New Forest, on Sunday the 19th of Febuary.. It is an excellent site, but can turn into a bit of a winch challenge depending on the weather beforehand. It is set in woodland with a perimetre track with tracks in between, with guanteed MUD!!! The site is open from 1000am, and the cost for the days playing is 20 pounds to current members. (membership card needed) New members always welcome although all vehicles must have current tax and MOT. New members will be required to join the club paying 15 pounds for a years membership, and the daily site fees.. There will be a burger van there as usual, marshalls to assist recovery (not mandatory) and the day is guaranteed to be lots of fun with the usual water obstacles and mud at the site.. Details can also be found on www.sadlrc.co.uk or from me on 07974202742. The site is situated near juction one, M27 . Head down the A337 towards Minstead and follow the second turning on you're right. Go up towards Minstead village. Turn left after "The Trusty Servant" pub, thru the ford. When the road splits, fork left and continue down. The site gate is situated on a hairpin bend off to the left. (watch out for the locals) Give me a call for more info or directions in, altough I will try and drop some signs out.. Dave White, SADLRC Chairman.
  11. Pity that 'an all... I would'nt work all week for a crust, just get meself a rich sugar daddy!!!
  12. If you post you're address, we'll sort out some lads to come 'round and fit it...
  13. "but I don't have a team mate or co-driver so I can't be arsed..." I'd be honoured to be you're bitch Jules... Minstead on Feb 19th.. (should be nice and sticky... Mmmm!!)
  14. Me boss took his new TD5 90 to bunny lane the other sunday and then was moaning about a knocking noise.. He's lost a roll bar bush!! Looked there?
  15. How about joining a proper club...... sadlrc.co.uk B) .... Seriously tho guys, come on, its only just over a quid and all the commitee are volountary members that DO work hard to make the club what it is.. Claim it back off next years membership if you think you've trully been robbed..
  16. Just to clarify I have spoken to Dan tonight and we have agreed that because of the insurance issue as well BOTH clubs at the moment are only going to accept members from thier club ONLY.. SADLRC are currently looking at going MSA and we will have to see how this works, but I'm afraid at the moment you will have to join the club to play on Sunday. Regards, Dave
  17. Solent and District LRC (sadlrc.co.uk) were meant to be running a greenlanes day over there on 5th Febuary but I think we are going to avoid it now as not to wind the situation up even more. Myself and Barry Baker from Vectis LRC have already written letters stating that are appalled by the behaviour of the irresponsible minority that will surley affect the majority with a TRO in place. We will talk to Tim Slade from IoW Council and bring up these concerns when he holds his meetings with the police, landowners, etc.. but he has been instructed to hold meetings witha view to putting a emergency TRO in place immediatley, and then extending it until at least March 31st. The damage made front page on several papers on the island, because it is quite a small community, and apparently a discovery was reported with front end damage in Newport. We are waiting to hear from Vectis now, as they were going to be talking with the police, but in the meantime as a club quite local to the situation we have offered our support in possibly attending with the council and trying to sort the damage out... 18. http://www.iwcp.co.uk/ViewArticle2.aspx?Se...ticleID=1305417 ... All gonna be tarred with the same brush thanks to these idiots!!!
  19. Tut-tut... ... I'm sure they'll be plenty of application forms knocking around... See you Sunday..
  20. I think we had a bit of a chat with Dan over this some time back as we were using attending Shire events on SADLRC membership and Shire's people attending on our days with thier membership cards. I think it may have been agreed that we were going to keep it seperate from now on as people we're turning up at our events and saying "I'm with Shires, but I've lost me membership card" and there was no way of us querying it... Likewise I think some of our lot may have tried it on with you're events.. We are starting to get to the stage now where we are inviting nieghbouring clubs to some of events and clubs inviting us so this will be the only time when the cards may count- After an official invite, announced by both commitees. It was a few months ago now so I will double check with Dan tommorow.. Besides its only another 15 quid for a year.. I will update this post after confirming with him as memory is slightly hazy.. Dave
  21. Cheers Jules... Have got a commitee meeting tonight so shall mention it... Dave
  22. Solent and District Landrover Club are hosting a playday at Bunny Lane in Romsey, on the 15th of January. It is an excellent site and has something there, terrain wise, for all.. The site is open from 1000am, and the cost for the days playing is 20 pounds to current members. New members always welcome although all vehicles must have current tax and MOT. New members will be required to join the club paying 15 pounds for a years membership, and the daily site fees.. This is going to run alongside Wessex Hillrunners and we will be trialling the MSA way of "running" the day to see if we will be joining MSA. There will be a burger van there as usual and the day is guaranteed to be lots of fun with the usual water obstacles and mud at the site.. Pressure washer to be on site to remove mud from vehicles for a small fee.. (2 quid) Details can also be found on www.sadlrc.co.uk or from me on 07974202742. The site is situated just off of the A3057 Stockbridge Road. Turn right into Bunny Lane, and then shortly left into the site. Dave White, SADLRC Chairman.
  23. Oh yes... We've got a few that have some of that!! sadlrc.co.uk (altho its still needs some work) Dave
