Hi, Friend of mine has a 2007 Defender with the Ford gearbox , he was turning and it was stiff coming out of reverse and he put it into 3rd gear now it it stuck. His mechanic has removed the box but says there is no way to split the box to look inside and says best idea would be to buy a second hand or new box at £ 1500.00. Any ideas please. Tried to search forum but nothing came back....
