  1. Such are the joys of owning a Rangey. By my posts on here you will be aware they have a habit of running like a dream one minute then when you next get in them they bite you in the a**e, but I wouldn't change it, although one day I know I must!
  2. I have a 93 RRC, never been any problem, always started and has been a god send in the recent weather. However I got in it yesterday, clicked the alarm / immobiliser off and attempted to put the key in the ignition. I say attempted as it just will not go in, bizarre I know, and no it isn't the rear tailgate key! It is as if, when you stand os the vehicle and look, as though a ball bearing is not yielding when the key is offered into the lock, but this is just a guess! Has anyone else experienced this, or am I plain going round the bend?
  3. Clock duly 'popped out' and and there is no power at all ????
  4. For whatever reason the clock on my RRC has stopped working. I have checked the obvious..........fuse in the main fuseboard, which if I recall also is the fuse for the rear wiper, all ok. Is there another in line type fuse that I have missed, prior to me commencing disassembling the dash itself? Many thanks in anticipation.
  5. May or may not be of interest, but I did notice a couple of ads on ebay under 'Range Rover Classic Parts', advertising arches. Sorry can not remember size but it was only yesterday!!
  6. This all adds up, I fogot to say that the rear wipe only worked on 'wash wipe' also. Will be looking for this unit. Mine is a hard dash model, so should be interesting! Many thanks
  7. I have a 93 classic. On two occasions this week when I have parked and locked up, the interior light along with the courtesy lights in the doors (white & red) have failed to extinguish after 10 or so seconds as is the norm. I had in the end to take the fuse out of the dash as it was too late to be looking for a remedy. It has since rectified itself twice, but again has failed to go out after locking the doors. I am asking if anyone can put me in the right direction. Incidentally, of relevance is the fact we have had some heavy rain of late.
  8. I had this some time back on a 3.9 1992 Classic. New oil and filter combined with an engine flush and added wynns tappet remedy with new oil, new oil been the manufacturers recommended. So far this has been succesful, bearing in mind a 92 is an elderly lady and I now probably change the oil more frequently than possibly necessary.
  9. Regardless of the postings here, but more to do with recently seeing such a bar on a RRC I have decided not to go ahead with said 'modification'. On the vehicle in question it appeared to have a definite twist, ie did not sit level, regardless of this I did not like the overall appearance!
  10. i am afraid I am in rural Derbyshire! However the photos portray precisely what I am looking for, it may give me something to do during the winter evenings fabricating same! many thanks
  11. I am after an 'epedition type' roof rack for my range Rover Classic. What I have 'googled' seem much alike, if anyone knows of someone looking to sell, or willing to build bespoke, please let me know.
  12. I have been the proud owner of a classic rangie for 8 months and have recently obtained a set of immaculate bullbars for same. Without actually looking too much, I am wondering how easy a job it is to fit same. Incidentally the EFI Vogue has the front lower spoiler, which I am quite happy to remove. I would appreciate all help and assistance. Thamks in anticipation.
