My 1998 defender 110 county runs fine however the engine intermittently cuts out leaving me stranded extremely embarrassing on weigh bridges etc. However engine will start again after a few minutes and runs fine. Over the last few months the problem is occuring more frequently. It feels as though there could be debris in the fuel line which blocks fuel flow causing engine failure then after resting for a minute maybe the debris moves allowing fuel to pass? My garage has cleaned fuel filters but problem persists. Can anyone help.

Cheers guys its going in to the mechanics on monday, i will tell them this info. I have tried disconnecting the immobiliser, that didn't help, also the fuel pump and filter has been checked. Very annoying problem.
