  1. Sorted It was the black and green wire on the negative side of the crank relay, the coil couldn't energise and switch the starter solenoid. I'd missed the 6mm stud earthing point on the bulkhead when I put everything back together :x
  2. It's a 1989 90 with a 200Tdi conversion. We've just swapped the bulkhead and pulled all the wiring back through and connected everything back up. But now it refuses to start. Dash lights up but the brake fluid low level light comes on when you try and turn it over. I've pulled the White/Red solenoid wire off and stuck an electrical tester on it and turned the key and it appears to be dead. I've removed the lower dash again to see if there's anything glaringly obvious unplugged or nicked wire etc. Is there a sequence to check everything in ? On the back of the fuse box is 3 relays, one is the flasher relay, what do the other two do ?
  3. Basically we've had to strip everything back to the chassis to replace rear tub, bulkhead and seatbox. Bolted the rear tub down nice and tight and everything lines up except the hole for the fuel breather pipe. I put a new pipe through the hole and it's about 20mm too high Has anyone else had this problem ? Or is it just as simple as drilling another hole for the breather pipe to go through ?
