  1. I am looking for advice on the installation of a De-cat pipe on the puma engine. The cat has a bracket that bolts to the engine, the de-cat pipe that I have bought doesn't have one. Is this additional support is no longer required as the replacement pipe should weigh less that the converter, if ot does the bracket need to be fabricated. Thanks in advance for any help.
  2. Attached is a picture of a pump unsed in the marine industry to fill outboard eninge lower units, it can get the job done for those tricky places.
  3. I have found a handheld pump that is used for fill outboard marine engine gearcases with oil, found it a a marine store. It has a hose on the end of it and is useful to get the diffs filled, especiall the front diff with swivel housing.
  4. Has anyone fitted a de-cat pipe to the puma? if so what are the results? I have one to install but I notice that there is a bracket on the cat that is not on the replacement pipe, is this bracket no longer necessary as the pipe weighs less than the cat or should this bracket be fabricated. Also the heatshield on the puma will lose two mounting points as they are part of the cat. Can the shield be disregarded or is it reinstalled less these mouning points or should I attempt to fabricate them?
  5. I have bought a de-cat pipe for a 2009 Defender 110 Puma, regarding the fitting of this pipe, I have noticed a bracket that supports the catalytic converter, it attaches to the engine. The preplacement pipe has no bracket that would allow its attachment to the engine so the pipe would be unsuported. Will a baracket need to be fabricated or will the turbo support the weight of the pipe? I am sure it is lighter that the catalytic converter. Second item for feedback is the heatsheild will loose some of its supporting points also, the catalytic converter has 2 mounting points for the heatsheild. For those that have replaced the catalytic converter, do you re install the sheild without the additional mounting points or discontinue using the sheild? Any experience/reccomendations would be helpful. Thanks
  6. Have a discovery 2 with air suspension fitted in the rear. It intermittently leaks down on the drivers (right) side. I have seen it mentioned that it may be an air bag leak, or a valve that sontrols air flow sticking. I have noticed the complaints on the forums are more common to the drivers side. Why is this? Any thoughts on what to check to determine whether its a problem with the air spring or a control problem. Thanks in advance
