As I say it never leaked before I took it to bits. Not really sure whats ment to go in there, Unless its some thing the previous owner bodged together.

300 tdi isn't the original engine but was in it when I bought it, And never leaked before I took it to bits . So some thing has definitely been lost.

Cheers, Its as if the pipe wont reach all the way in to the connecter even when fully tight it is able to move in and out, Hense thinking there should be some thing in between. An O ring doesn't seen big enough

Any one know if this should have an O ring, olive ect between these Filled it up today and it leaked straight back out Its where it bolts to the pas pump on a 300tdi. I've been rebuilding my 90 so its quite possible its fell out Cheers.

Well its not the timing belt made a make shift fuel tank and it ran direct from the injection pump. So thinking its got to be the lift pump

No leak between tank and lift pump, Never thought about losing my timing belt

So lift pump first port of call bofore any thing else? Is there any way it can be tested ? Cheers

Hi, My 200tdi failed to start this morning, upon investigation there is no fuel getting to the lift pump, Is it the lift pump that draws the fuel out of the tank? Thus causing no fuel or could it be some thing else Cheers

another vote for Halfords Industrial very good quality, my only problem is i could do with a few more deep draws, but thats probly my fault for having so much carp

thats cheaper than expected. only problem is i dont have a snap on dealer so i had a look on ebay on they seem to do £370 ish, (new) unless i can stumble across a bargain

Hi there, In the next few weeks im going to be starting the rebuild of my defender, And was thinking a battery impact gun would be handy for the process, obviosly going to have to be fairly powerfull with all these rusted bolts. So which one would you guys recomend, Thanks Tom
