  1. Hello, I've got a 2003 Discovery II and the lights are ok but I really need some Spotlights, prob some 8" Wipac or similar but not sure whether they can be properly and securely fitted to the bumper or whether I need to buy a nudge bar with spotlight fittings already on. I have seen the plastic A frame ones but they are SOOOOO expensive!!
  2. [ Hi, Thanks for the advise, I will check the air filter and look at where the ECU is to see if its gettng wet.
  3. Hi, I have been deeper, over the bonnet stuff which resulted in the same problem but what worried me was that it was spluttering after wading fairly shallow stuff, for a disco at least!!
  4. Hi everyone. I have a 2003 Discovery TD5 which I have owned for a few months. In that time I have taken it off road quite a bit but have found that when driving through water of maybe no more than 8 inches or so at fairly low speed the engine seems to splutter afterwards when you put your foot hard down if pulling away from a junction for example. Its the same sort of thing you get when a petrol engine car gets a wet distributor and starts spluttering. It clears after a while but I'm sure a vehicle like this shouldn't suffer from going through fairly shallow water. I am going to put a snorkel on the disco but I dont know that this will definately solve the problem. If water was getting to the air intake surely the problem would be more serious than spluttering for a while. What does anyone think?
