  1. I had a new exhaust fitted the other day, both CATS, centre section, and rear section. All is fine, except one thing. I now have no heat from my blower! Blower works perfectly, just no heat. Could it be coincidence that it happened after exhaust done, or could they have knocked something? If not, where do I start looking for the problem? Thanks Mike

    Hot Bonnet

Cheers all. Sounds like I am worrying over nothing. There is a fair bit of smoke from the exhaust when it is cold, but someone at work has a Jag XFR with a V8, and his is terrible when cold. Would the insulation you mention help? Does it do anything? As long as I am doing no lasting damage, not too fussed. Think it shocked the guy washing the car more than it did me. Mike
  3. Not sure if this is an issue, but my bonnet seems to get very hot, so much so that when I was in the car wash today, it was steaming when they were washing it. The engine is't over heating (according to the temp gauge), so is it an issue? I was wondering if there may be some sort of heat guard missing from underneath?? Thanks Mike
  4. I have a multi-car policy that covers all 3 vehicles, for myself, my wife, and my wife, and it costs me less than £1k for the lot. It is through Admiral. 04 320D MSport Coupe (main driver is me, FNC, 31 yrs old) Limited to 5000 miles 98 1.9 Z3 (main driver is the wife, FNC, 31 yrs old) Limited to 3000 miles 98 Disco V8 LPG Conv (main driver is me, NO No Claims) Limited to 2000 miles (but definitely going to increase) Couldn't believe prices when I moved to them, Disco only added £250 to policy. Mike
  5. Cheers for the replies and advice. Such fun machine, overtaking X5's and the like just churning up the snow with their low profile tyres! Even gave the MD a lift home and lift to work yesterday.
  6. If I have posted this in the wrong section, apologies now! Just bought this 2 weeks ago, and loving it in the snow. Bought it because we moved house, and I knew we would need a 4x4 to get up and down. I also have a 6 year old BMW Coupe, and a 12 year old Z3, so a bit of a car freak. Only 2 small problems so far, which as far as people tell me is a miracle! 1) Passenger elec front window doesn't work. 2) NS headlamp seems to have some sort of fault. It keeps showing as just sidelight, but I have changed the headlamp bulbs. Apart from that, it is perfect. I know that other stuff will go wrong, but I'll deal with that when it arrives. Changed the leather gaiters, with a £10 set from EBAY, perfect fit. I am guessing to change the handbrake one, that I have to take out the cubby box? Can't believe I left it so long before I bought into this.... Any help on the above appreciated. Cheers Mike
