  1. I am pondering the possibility of bringing a LHD defender ,or a Santana of some sort into Canada, perhaps, from England. Can anyone advise me about thier experience doing so, and what I need to know in order to put it on the road legaly and insure it properly. I suspect that this is a broad topic and there is alot to know, so I welcome any advice or thoughts anyone has especially if you have done it yourself. I would like to learn from others mistakes rather than my own. Johnyt
  2. I'm a 2 truck owner but only want 1. I drive a late model chev 1/2 ton 4x4 at work and have a 79 SIII 109 LHD military surplus for fun. My work in the oil patch takes me on the highway for 400-500 km trips, as well as down winter roads, Ice roads, and even some cut lines. I'm looking for a truck cab, thats more comfortable than the SIII, warm in our Canadian winters, not as loud as my SIII, yet capable in poor driving conditions, has good payload capacity and is reliable. If you have owned or operated a Rapier I would like to hear from you , and your experiences John
  3. I want to say howdy to every-one here! I'm an owner of a 1979 SIII LHD British Army Surplus 109 from either Wainwright or Suffield. I have owned it since 1995 and only done fairly minor work to it. It has a truck cab and a Fairey overdrive. It's a 2.25L gas engine. The fit and finnish are more on the rustic than the polished side. It is always good to find another source of information, parts, and experience to draw from. Please feel free to reply and say hi!
