  1. I am planning a rebuild on my Discovery 2 automatic and want to switch to manual transmission. I have all the parts - gearbox, bellhousing, clutch, pedal box, central console, shifter etc. But I am wondering what the issues will be with the electronics / ECU side of life? Any opinions or experience?
  2. I have come across this very issue today, but don't remember seeing any alternative wire on the loom that I should have fitted, instead of the oil temperature warning light ones. Did you find the correct ones? I suppose an oil temp warning like would be okay as a warning for diff lock but it doesn't look as pretty and I wonder if the ECU would be told to go into limp mode, to protect a fantom hot gearbox?
  3. 238/85R16's will fit with no problems. I've used them - and 7.50's - on D2 with standard suspension (both and and coils on the back), with no rubbing problems at all. If you've got auto transmission, your lock up speed will be screwed though.....
  4. I have an Echo roof tent and found it to be excellent. I have used it in some pretty wet and stormy weather and stayed good and dry inside. I can fold it down with the sleeping bags and pillows in place, no problem.
  5. The overdrive fits on to the LT230 transfer box, not the LT77. The GKN overdrive (which is now discontinued) or the Roverdrive by Rocky Mountain will fit the LT230.
  6. Pity Ermintrude doesn't - I saw a TD5 90 rolling chassis at Devon 4x4 that had the stuff peeling off !
  7. Yeah, good write up seems like quite a progressive company. I must save up for one of those X-brakes.
  8. Do I retain the 300 Tdi clutch and flywheel, or use the parts from the NAD?
  9. I have an early 110 with a tired 2.5NAD engine, which I'd like to upgrade. Is there any good information on the net about fitting a 300 Tdi engine into a 110, retaining the LT77 and Lt230 transmission? Any pointers would be most welcome.
  10. Nice one Will - well done!!
  11. No - I've been before in '99 '00 '02 '05 and '06 - if I remember correctly. This was my 5th time. White 90 - I reckon some of the odd stall arrangement you noted was probably due to no-shows; but who knows/cares - the key players were there and were overall happy with the show, given the weather. With better weather next year, the 60th Anniversary Billing should be a blast If the weather is the same it will be a splash and a splosh
  12. Brilliant show!! Okay, so it was wet and muddy but the wellies and raincoat took care of that Let's face it - we're Land Rover people so mud is good, right? Met some people from the forums at CRAG on Saturday - mainly from Land Rover Addict and LRUK - but what a great bunch of folks The ORRP-ers were in fine form, as ever, last night and I had great chats with some of the magazine folk in the beer tent. Was talking to Anton and Trevor at OEC as well as Dave Marsh at Qt and Derick at LRS Offroad - these guys know their stuff I wish I could've spent more time there today - just couldn't get round everyone. Poetic justice to see Scorpion in the middle of a lake I'll be back next year - LRM have done a great job and are much more genuine folk than the previous organisers.
