  1. Hi all, friend of mine has a 2001 disco and it is behaving strange. It wont start and there is a clicking under the passenger seat. It bump started once now nothing, not even a jump from my landy or anything. Havn't really had a good look but thought you knowledgeable folk might know. Clicking sounds like a relay but i am only guessing. Many thanks in advance.
  2. Evening all, I have BFG AT's on my defender and the tread is running fairly low so i want to change for the winter, but dont know what to change to. What are the best tires for winter use - is it an AT pattern or is a snow and ice tire better?? I was thinking of putting a snow and ice tire on for winter and changing over to an AT for the summer?? Is this worth it or would i not notice the difference between a snow and ice tire and a standard AT pattern. Sorry about being long winded. Many thanks
  3. Thanks for the replies will get under and investigate this morning. Simon
  4. Brilliant thanks Errol will give it a go tomorrow and see if i can find anything.
  5. Hi all, The landy has started to pull to the right when i apply the brakes suddenly or abruptly. I am fairly sure this hasnt gone on for long but i dont tend to brake suddenly if i can help it. But to avoid a stupid boy on a bike i applied the brakes hard and the landrover nearly mounted the pavement!! Have had both front wheels off and have checked the pads and made sure the pistons can move and arent jammed. There is no fluid seeping down or anything. I drove down the road with my hands off the wheel and broke and it shot right then straightened again. Dont know if anyone has had this before. Many thanks in advance Simon
  6. Morning all, Trying to fit my cb just above bonnet release catch. Sily question i know but how can i get the screw on the bracket to pull tight?? Thanks
  7. yeah thats sounds like a plan. I will do that first. Wish sorting out the landy was as easy as having a smoke!!
  8. Hi all, Further to a post a while back - my 300 is still smoking. The turbo was found to be loose so was replaced so now have mroe power but still have some smoke issues. Its especaiily bad pulling away in first and when the engine is under compression like reversing slowly up a hill or drive etc. Is there anything else i can check as it annoys me so much. The smoke disappears after a while but when left to idle it will come back. Many thanks
  9. That must rub on full lock no?? Maybe not looks good though. Think i will be ordering the same bar as you as well. Thank you for your help.
  10. Yeah true if you have the option then it doesnt matter really. What lift do you have on your truck sorry for the questions but i really quite like it.
  11. Excellent chaps, I will look into this. Interesting points about glare is this a massive problem then. I prefer the look of the lights below the light bar itself rather thatn above because i dont have a roof rack fitted. Godley keeper thats a fine truck - what size are those tyres?
  12. Evening all, Just a general question really am looking for a light bar and 4 spots for for 90 but firstly dont know where to get the one i want (black tubular style) and also what lights would be best bet. I am guessing I want the small lights prob 4 x 55w and have them flood rather than spot, I have driving lights as well which are spot obviously. Just looking for ideas and manufacters really. Cheers Si
  13. Good good. Space is a little problem at home so 10 x 5.5ft is about max but at a push i might go 8 x 5 apart from the single dropsides not split which i am not overly keen on it gets akward in tight spaces because you always have to be 8ft clear not just 5
  14. Thanks chaps it all sounds good for ifor although i am still keeping an open mind.
