hi
there is supposed to be oil in the bearing to lubricate it
as long as the seal at the back of the hub is new and not leaking
your good to go

hi
why not look into a self leveller and softer springs off a 110 county
i had that set up on my old 110 that i have just stripped and it was great up to
the one i have now whitch has double rear springs
hth brian
hi james
the step backwards is because i have baught a realy clean 35.000 kms 110 with a blown engine
very cheap and i have a 300 with only 111.000 kms and also i dont like td5 engines they have too many
bits that go wrong
hi
is it a easy job to convert a td5 to a 300tdi
will i be able to just do away with the ecu
and will it just bolt up to the bell housing it is a r380 box
in a 2000 110
thanks in advance
brian
so on my 94 300 tdi which had solids front and rear
will i be able to use the front discs for the rear as it now has vented up front
and needs a new disc on the rear
and it would be a shame to have to buy a new 1 when i already have a pair
hi
i have got plus 2 inch shocks on my 110 with standard double springs
and i have problems with the springs coming out of their seats
when off roading
hth brian
hi
i would stay with the 300tdi
as 2 of my mates run td5s and they have nothing but problems always breaking down
and expensive repares i can buy a 1999 110 td5 for 1800 euros but needs engine repare
i will stick with my 94 300tdi

hi
it is more than likely to be the water pump
i have become a bit of a master at doing the water pump on
mine
it should take no more than 30 mins to replace
but be sure to buy a quality pump
hence all my practice
hth brian
hi
mine must have had the same problem
as the previous owner has adapted it to a 3 way rocker switch
and it does its job fine
it could be a cheap solution
