  3. Thanks, I'm going to take my time with the new project now but I will be there to marshal.
  4. 1-Shaunus and Billy Bones Std 2-Simon Elvins and TBC Mod 3-Pod and Lard Mod 4-D Webber and M Walford Mod 5-Mark Dyer and Nobbymogs Mod BWORC had their Ist Monday of the month meeting trying to find out whats going on. As it stands Simon is a No D webber & M Walford is a No As for Pod, lard,Mark and Nobbymogs not sure and have not heard anything. With regards to myself and Bill our vehicle should be built by then and classed as Std. I spoke with Jason last week to see what we could group together with regards CSW and if some would get in contact with me to see if we could fill places in BWORC or call it CSW group. Still not heard anything, but please get in touch. Pod, lard,Mark and Nobbymogs are you in. Regards Shaun
  5. V8 just the job, But the Discovery is bulky and needs the back end cut off to the rear wheels, the rear roof will get in the way and even trap you in a wooded areas. Unless your going to tray back it, then it might be worth looking for a Defender 90. I had a cheap Defender truck cab with 2" spacer lift and roll cage, front and rear winches, but for me was the V8 auto. So much more control except on hill decent, but then you have brakes for that. Good luck, but remember if you like it becomes very addictive so try and keep to your budget.
  6. Slindon, Didn't try to clean the 90 until 2 weeks after the challenge. What a nightmare, that took me the longest time to clean it was like cement. There was a build up of dried silt and flint in the coil springs and around the callipers that took some clearing.
  7. Mine use to stay on the trailer until I put the power washer over it, it would take three goes to get it half tidy. The silt and mud would run to the back and down the beaver tail, a length of 2x3 wood would be nailed diagonal to deflect most waste to one side of the trailer. At the back of the trailer I built a wooden trough to catch most of the muck, the water would then slowly drain away leaving a load of silt. Most times there would be two to three wheel barrows which I would dump in the back garden, the kids use as their jump with their scramblers. 2 to 3 hours normally, but from now on it’s going to be the winch bitches job
  8. BWORC Team for the Interclub Challenge. Shaunus and Billy Bones Std Simon Elvins and TBC Mod Pod and Lard Mod Weeble and Walfy Mod Mark Dyer and Nobbymogs Mod I hope the above meets with your approval, please do not hesitate to contact me should you have any queries. Kind regards Shaunus (Gone Bananas)
  9. I'd like to go Mod, but I've not got enough room in the trophy cabinet
  10. Just to check once again, its got to be one std vehicle or could it be std +1 as well.
  11. BWORC would like to be added to the interclub challenge. Please put me down as team captain. Thanks
  12. I'll be up this, but I'm Std+1. If its club team then I'll go with BWORC or Just get a team together.
  13. I do winch challenging and Auto is the way to go, a few years ago I was the only one in 4x4 Adventures challenges with Auto but now more and more are changing from Manual to Auto. There is a lack of engine braking but the big pedle sorts that out or use your rear winch. My challenge 90 truck has a V8 3.5 with 3.9 top and sounds sweet with plenty of grunt, I also have another project with a V8 3.5 manual, but you can feel the difference with 3.9 top and is much better. Having said all that I'm "selling" my challenge 90 truck with 3.9 top which won the Strd+1 series with 4x4 Adventures 2008 and with my new project removing the V8 manual and replacing it with 300 Tdi Auto, this should sort out the bogg sectoins.
  14. Its having tidy second hand doors put on, but it is a tuned 3.5 not 3.9 but it feels like it.
