Hi all I have just removed and disassembled my series 3 gearbox, the reason being grinding noises and a temporarily locked gearbox and finding shiney lumps in the oil. It turns out the layshaft has lost all its external splines on the input end. Any ideas what causes this and where i can get a replacement shaft from cheers Bill
