  1. A lot smoother, although they're only AT's, so not great mud pluggers. Alright for what I need them to do. The offset means I have a little more lock. Handy on a 110 I'd go for the ST's if you can
  2. You must have 7.50x16, judging by you avatar.(110) 205's were usually fitted Defender 90/Ninety's You can't have both on the same vehicle! 235/85x16 on the front, 7.50x16 on rear. (Was changing wheels, don't usually drive around like that!)
  3. Maybe he giving them away to Forum members............
  4. I've just used a Navman pin570 with IGO8 for our summer Europe trip. I've got an external antenna on the snorkel.(I've a large roofrack so thought the internal antenna would struggle) I also use it on Rallies in this country. A full range of maps were also taken, before the usual comments. I've also used a Garmin Nuvi 760 through Europe/Russia.
  5. Patience & a steady hand! It takes time, & I've never yet managed to get a completely crease free window! Plenty of soapy water, start at one corner & work outwards
  6. I just take the children out & turn the radio up!
  7. I drilled a hole for the wheel stud, & just to make sure it stayed on, I also drilled/tapped bolted the plate to the wheel carrier Hope this helps.
  8. Don't write it off as a duffer! Hopefully most of them have had the bugs ironed out of them by now. As long as you look after it, you should get enough use out of it whilst you save up/consider your options. They aren't quick, but then again where can you go quickly nowadays! Regular oil changes, & TLC I'd consider it, especially if the rest of the vehicle is in good condition.
  9. Ditto, nothing about seating on my V5 (110 SW). Rear seats taken out, so mine is a 5 seater. Except mine is listed as 5 Door hatchback
  10. The main reason is it wrecks the door! The steel frame flexes & snaps, usually across the middle by the "H" frame.
  11. The "patch" is usually where the spare wheel carrier has been. Most people just find a suitable piece of aluminium to cover the holes.
  12. On the same tack,(excuse the pun) How do the Wipacs like having tape applied to them for Continental driving? Being plastic instead of glass, do you have problems removing the stuff afterwards,& does it stick well?
  13. I've got a modified Simbars Discovery rack mounted to a Pivlock wheel carrier.
  14. Nice 110. Might see you on your travels
  15. You Animal, Ralph! Mine had 137,000 on it before it was reconditioned & put in another LR. I had to make do with a 200tdi. Seriously though, they weren't that bad an engine in their time. Or at least mine wasn't!
  16. I've just fitted an ARB to a 1994 SW using a Mk1 Discovery part. The only difference is the two brackets which mount the bar to the chassis. The Disco version only has two holes per bracket. The LR/Defender item has four.
  17. Sorry to hear this, John Hope you get some good news soon. I'll keep a look out.
