  1. Have you checked the voltage at the solenoid when you go to crank ? Mine has a low as 8V and that was not enough to pull the solenoid in. I put an automotive 12 relay upstream of the solenoid and that solved it. The ignition switch can also go intermittent.
  2. I've had one fail in less than 12 months. The supplier believes a pinhole in the booster may 'overwork' the pump and cause them to fail prematurely. I find this hard to believe as the pump appears to run constantly anyway. Thoughts anyone on this theory ?
  3. I assume you have removed the starter from the vehicle and bench tested ? The reason I ask is that I only had 9V at the terminal of the solenoid. 9V was enough for the solenoid to click, but not enough to engage. I solved the 9V problem by adding a relay in the circuit as 9V is enough for a relay and that switches a full 12V to the solenoid. Problem solved.
  4. Check the voltage to the solenoid on the starter motor. I was only getting 9v which was enough to make the solenoid click, but not actually engage. Solved that by adding a relay into the circuit. The 9v is enough to switch the relay, which in turn switches a full 12V to the solenoid. Also check the ignition switch. They are not the most reliable part.
  5. Sorry, but you clarify what you mean by 'injection' ? Are you proposing to atomise water into the engine intake and combustion cycle or sprayed over the intercooler to improve intercooler temperature drops ?
  6. I suppose you know about MR Automotive at Redcliffe ? Should be close to you and know landies backwards
  7. These instructions were shared with me by Larns "The self cancelling in one direction is often because whoever refitted the steering wheel last did not centralise the self cancel switch. Pull the wheel off and you'll see the blue ring that the striker on the steering wheel locates into. Push the indicator stalk into one of the directions(dosn't matter which one). Now turn the blue ring in that direction untill you feel it "click" the indicator stalk. Now if you turn it back the other direction the stalk should cancel. Try this the other direction, if it dosn't cancel within the same amount of movement then the ring reeds to be turned 180. When you have an equal amount of movement before they self cancel, ensure the notches in the blue ring are vertical an carefully refit the steering wheel so that the striker fingers slot into the ring. If none of this workes then your indicator stalk is ratted an you need a rew one. Hope this helps, I've done this to dozens of 110's that wouldn't self cancel to fix the problem" Full post here: Australian LandRover Owners Forum
