  1. Just came across this: "It is on jersey number plates and does not require any tax or m.o.t until it is reregistered on to uk plates. " Sounds too good to be true. Anyone know if this is true and for how long can you keep a Jersey registered vehicle on UK roads?
  2. [insane cackle] Can I have one of those please? [/insane cackle] Preferably with a roof though, as I'd rather not die by drowning no, but I'll let you have this one (thus endeth my 2 photos taken at Bling this year)

    Pinion Drive

you seem to have a problem at either the driven (trasnfer box) end, cable or speedo head. To rule out the speedo, put a thcik wire, such as bicycle spoke or the metal pins that come with pop rivets with some insulation tape on the end into the speedo head drive and spin the drill in reverse. If the needle moves and is steady, then speedo is fine. Next atttachtthe cable to the speedo and put end of calbe in drill and repeat; now you can rule out the cable leaving the drive as the possible culprit. Look at the end of the cable, early cables are squre, later ones that you buy now are oval; if the end is rounded off, it is likely to be speedo cable.
  4. .... as you can tell mine is too (photo taken some time ago) re: carb vs efi; I am under the illusion, false it may be, that it would be easier to bodge a pair of SUs in the field than fix a duff injection controller, that is why I am sticking with carbs for the foreseeable future.
  5. 5/8 UNF (deja vu moment) Vehicle Wiring products and ThinkAuto do adapters for 3/8 NPT as a lot of the guages use that size.
  6. I would like to see the video of the pink lwt negotiating the extremely tricky concrete sloped river crossing at Billing this year - anyone can post it here?
  7. ... so anyome make pink ones? depending on what you read, don't British springs make the TIC ones? And they also supply Paddocks; not sure if they'll be the same as the very cheap Paddocks ones ... and again depending on what you hear, Paddocks are good or bad. Rememebr you need to fit longer shocks, again procom es3000 (?) are good but better are es9000, slightly more expensive but harder to find, again opinions vary here, some suggerst (like CPercect?) using es1000. and opinions from otheres is that properly maintained leafs that are not rusted to bu88ery like most are after 30 years, are pretty good too.....
  8. Here is one proper lightweight with a proper engine (v8)!!!
