  1. Aye up Bob, there is an irritating little man Nr Cognac that likes to talk about landrovers!!!!
  2. Put a plastic bag around the oil filter and undo as normal, the plastic bag catches the oil and filter and leaves no mess
  3. If you have a Halfrauds Trade Card the 120 piece socket set is on sale for £65 and the 25 piece spanner set is £35, not bad prices
  4. Will anyone be about for a beer about 6 ish ? I work 2 minutes from the Dev and could pop in to meet up after work
  5. I would like to tag along if its alright, its on my doorstep, only just moved back here , so would be good to jog my memory of the local lanes.
  6. I drowned the engine on the Disco last weekend, the engine stopped dead as it was full of water. Took the injectors out and turned it over to empty the water out of the cylinders, re-fit them and it started no problems and ran ok for the rest of the day ( well untill the rear diff decided to self destruct ) The morning after we set off home in diff lock and noticed the oil pressure light flickered at tick over, after 5 miles the thing started smoking badly, towed it to a mates and ordered a new head gasket, went up yesterday to fit it and found the turbo was knackered, so didnt change the head gasket. Fitted a good s/h turbo and set off home thinking that the oil pressure switch was knackered, 60 miles later the bloody thing is smoking again, pulled onto the services to find that the new turbo was knackered as well, so left it there to pick up today. The engine had a brand new head 4000 miles ago with a steel gasket, the oil level is ok as is the water level. Any suggestions as to what the problem could be? ( appart from the driver!) Cheers Rick
  7. Steve, give us a bit of notice, but would be great to do "some lanes" in another area, there are a few expats over our way that would be game too
  8. And you the font of all knowledge, I am so disapointed Jason!!!!!!!!
  9. Good evening, I would like to pick your brains if I may, Me and a mate have decided to do this event this year, we have sent our deposits and entry forms off and received the rest of the paperwork in the post. We have realised now that the accomadation needs booking sepateratly, but after phoning a few of the reccomended hotels up, they are closed. Has anyone done this event before? and if so shed some light on what to do. I know I live in France, but my command of the language aint brilliant on the phone!!!!! Thanks Rick
  10. The "rocket" is at the side of the motorway in Toulouse, unless there is another one! I presume you travelled on the A20, we live 2 mins off junction 55 near to Souillac. The kettle is always on if you come down this way again
  11. You passed within a mile of our house, you could of popped in for a brew
