  1. I have the BA 290 heavy duty jobs. Work a treat. Easy to fit too. On some of the tubular wrap around type you need to modify the bodywork.
  2. Christ on a bike! How did it get like that?!
  3. Have just done mine. Went for Terrafirma springs and decarbon shocks. Went for hard on the front and medium on the back. As it was just about on the bumpstops before, it has made a huge difference. Very pleased with it.
  4. Very probably but don't deny a man his excuse for new toys
  5. That's kind of what I want to know. If I add a winch up front will I need to go HD and keep normal at the back?
  6. The springs and shocks are now very tired on my '97 110 station wagon. It is a daily driver as well as used for greenlaning and the occaisional pay and play day. Off road tyres are 265/75 R16 and am planning on fitting a winch and hd bumper in the New Year. I have thought about adding a 1-2" lift to help with break over angle. I have used Decarbon shocks in the past and was happy with these. OME would be nice but they are a bit too pricey. What would people recommend in terms of brand, length and what have you to get the motor driving as it should? Many Thanks, Liszt
  7. I agree, but if you don't have a vice?
  8. You don't need a press, I did mine with a one ton vice. The interference fit is not that strong. A gentle tap with a hammer would get it in. The main problem is making sure the needles don't come out or it wont to on straight.
  9. I have recently bought a 110 CSW 300 tdi (1996) and have noticed that it leaks fuel out of the filler. I.E. if going along a twisty road the rear wing will be covered in diesel after a few miles. Not good. Cap seems to sit tight on filler neck. Am I missing something obvious? Is this a common problem? Any ideas on a remedy? Cheers
