So who's camping ????
The Brave We'll try and make a day of it this time, fitted a new lift pump. Might get to 3 punches
-
What can I say, I put an engine and box in from my own daily runner so I know it's good and NEVER let me down and what's it done let me down Thanks for everyone's help and what we saw from the 3 punches we tried to get to, they were well set out for us, come away with only 2 punched though . Finally got it running somewhere right at around 3pm but decided to call it a day, once again thanks to all the organiser's and those that helped us out, got an elecy pump here from someone to give back. We still had a laugh though that's the main thing
Thanks to All

Yippee, got the new engine and auto box fitted. Need to run it round to make sure I've not left anything loose but yeah we should be there for a shakedown

No lake but your winch motors will be warm by the end of the day. Its a bit slippy at the moment.
The bogs might be a bit deep though. Slippy? just a bit, easier to drive than walk. see you there
Whoops pressed the post button twice, it's not the beer honest

I thought the camping field was here...? http://www.streetmap.co.uk/map.srf?X=316358&Y=318877&A=Y&Z=120
I can remember coming across the narrow bridge from the A490 to a Tarmac road, Farm in front of you with camping to the left (as on Si's map) and trailer parking on the right. I'll follow the orange Arrows
Truck dried out and repaired so ready to go, I think. Looking forward to this one not been there for ages.
Bob....... can you bring my strop with you please that you found
-
Just need to dry my truck out and get it repaired and I'm sorted. Will be there Sunday morning eager to try to last a full day
Only been there once before, you got a map or postcode Chris to refresh my memory?

:hysterical: take a bit more than that 'reel em in a bit more'
I've used solvent joints on the roll cage as they don't do a 50mm push in fitting. Hope this will be ok for scrutaneering

It's Glass Reinforced Plastic if that sounds better Tigger's the name cause he likes to bounce, usually off trees
-
Tut Tut, 'A plastic truck'? lots not forget the wooden floor It's the same plastic truck that runs rings round others

Where is your sense of adventure? Never mind the tent just put up a hammock
Yeah right there's not a hammock strong enough to carry me The adventure for me is the travelling
-
Do you need to sound the horn as well when you enter
Thought Of leaving the truck and trailer at the site and finding a b&b. Camping!! brrrr done that since I was a kid like my creature comforts now
-
Not long now looking forward to it, have a all new winch bitch to test out so should be fun Can we come down on the Saturday and stop over or find a B&B. looked on the LRS site, I'm either blind or stupid but I can't find a postcode or map Dave.
See you soon, Gaz.

Bit of topic but whats all this about Matlock, whats the crack? where abouts what site etc, who to contact etc???
We got fed up of Play days with idiots racing round without a care in the world so we set up our own club so at least then were all like minded idiots. RoguePirates4x4.co.uk
We book offroad sites for ourselves and set out punches for more of a challenge and a laugh. Free to join site, sign up and have a look around.

That's how I started, went to a few play days where punches had been set out and realised I needed to build a better truck Then entered a few challenge events one with LRS who then pointed me in the right direction with the Regs, it's alot to get your head round. By this time I was hooked and a year later I think I'm ready to kick some ass in the LRS challenge(my co-drivers)
Your more than welcome to see what is all about with some of us nr Matlock

With the damage of broken shafts, steering wheel and punctures decided to start the winter strip down early, so won't be able to make this event, sorry Chris. Looks like spending some money and purchasing some ashcroft shafts.
Going to move the rad and shorten the front, maybe move the axle forward as well. Move the rear axle back and extend the trailing arms to the middle.
