My Race freelander 1.8 had race CAT it was fitted by Janspeed as part of my sponsership I don't know how much it cost but it always sailed through it's MOT's
-
Type 1 roadstone which will pack down nicely into a surface that is nearly as solid as concrete to park and work on.
Yep and 3mm dust on top will finish it off nicely

Could someone with access to Microcat (cos I can' seem to get it working) have a look at freelander fuel tanks for me?
I need to know if the 1.8 petrol tank is the same as either the td4 or L-series diesel tanks? Also same question regarding the in-tank fuel pumps....
Cheers
Mark
I have't looked at it but I have a TD4 tank going if you need one and the Td4 has two pumps one on the bulk head and a rear tank pump which is a lift pump but the 1.8 has a high presure tank pump.

more snow falling here now , although it is only settleing on the previous snow.
did my first J turn in the 206 last night
First J turn
many tyres have been killed in the pursuit of the perfect J turn

Check the all the turbo hoses and the turbo regulator valve (I can't remember its proper name) its common on the Td4's
both result in reduced power

When the racer used to snap its engine mounts loads at the beginning until we built a cradle for the engine
down pipes would suffer and the CV on the front of the prop shaft (I doubt that 10miles would damage that too much)
Check all the other mounts.
The old two things I have done which result in the gearstick movement is engine mount failure and IRD failure (I was racing them so failure to me is snapping them completely off ) I wouldn't have expected a mount to snap on a road car but a bolt missing would give the same feeling

I'll second that they now do my Disco and MOT'd my racer.
Broklyn 4x4 in Nursling
I've gone back to using them for about a year now and been very happy with their customer services the garage I used to use is still very, very good just a bit far away

Even though I'm new to the forum, I have already found it an extermely useful source of info.
I have a S reg Freelander 1.8 with approx 80k. Recent work includes an HG replacement/rebuild and a master/slave clutch system.
The problem is a loud clunk sound from the rear (offside if anything) when I change gear whilst keeping the power down . It occurs when the clutch is just engaging. An almost certainly related issue is that the gear lever literally moves in your hand when you accelerate firmly but whilst already in gear.
Having read earlier discussions on the rear diff centre/front mount, I have bought the LR part and replaced that. Do I really need to do the left and right rear diff mounts as well?
Or is there something else going on?
Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
Sounds like diff bushes. The whole rear prop move around when they fail.
But the gearstick could be a IRD failer

Conrico will sort anything you need out there

most of the snow was gone by 10am yesterday it had all melted in Portsmouth and by the thismorning most of it in Southampton was also gone.

Hi,
i have removed the propshaft to the rear wheels as the cv joint that bolts on to the gearbox is knackered, however i cant seem to source a replacement cv joint for it , can any one assist. Its the bit that bolts on with 6 bolts that go through 3 curved washers.

Colin
Out of intrest my CV gave out after I snapped a engine mount and carried on racing a full round of the British off road championships with a rachet strap holding the engine and gearbox in place but I have never had it fail on any other of the five freelanders I've had.
Why has your's failed

When I broke my prop CV I had to replace the hole front prop.
Bearmach couldn't get me a replacment CV like they could all the others on the car.

damn your unlucky mate
ive got another "snow" day, anywhere decent to play in southampton area??
Yep loads
Winchester downs are good (for sensible playing and responsible driving)
Last night I was gutted all my mates were busy I wanted to go up to Farley Mount to play but I couldn’t risk going alone and getting stuck.
All along the A272 will be fairly deep snow as well, the road from Winchester to Petersfield.
You could head up to Brickyln Farm and pay the farmer to play on his site for the day

Hi ... I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
I have late 1993 Classic Vogue 3.9 SE auto with a true 57k miles, regularly serviced etc. It runs beautifully ~ at least it did until Saturday morning!! The vehicle was used with absolutely no problems the night before but now refuses to start. The battery is fine, the fuel tank is half full and the engine spins well on the starter but will not cough, splutter or run.
I am still in the 1960's when it comes to problems like this so just started checking for fuel, sparks and any obvious loose connections. The fuel inertia cut-off switch was down in the right position but I found that Fuse C3 [10amps..ignition coil?] had blown. I replaced the fuse, recharged the battery and had another go. Still spinning but not running. And now another strange problem ~ when I turn the ignition key off, the dash display stays on .... fuel and temperature gauges still registering, ABS, ETC, Ignition and Oil Pressure warning lights still on. And the only way I can get them to turn off is to remove Fuse C3 !!
I am a little baffled and think I will have to solve this problem before getting back to the main non-starting issue.
Has anyone experienced this before? Any suggestions?
Many thanks
Raife
Bit of a long shot are all the relay's ok
under the front seat and in the drivers footwell panel?
Is fuel coming through. Also could it be somthing has got damp and carried on working but then it froze I have had Ice cause problems before inside relays

Freelanders are good in snow. working on the light 4x4 thing
several years ago last time we had some heavy snow I drove in my old Camal Freelander from Sothampton leaving at 5am up to south end on sea only to slide into the back of one of the company vans well gave it a little nudge in the site car park when I got there apart from that it was a grate drive

I love the fact that I send all year being scowled at by car drivers now there stuck in ditches they all want to be my friends

Southampton and Portsmouth got about 2-3 inchs
I also managed to put my Disco into a flower bed on the way to work, very embarrassing but missing the other two cars in the same flowerbed I thought was quite handy.

I'm up for the south coast

Free naan bread for Range Rover owners at their local curry restaurant?

I think it was "info-tainment" in the same vein as luvvy and hair blokes long way round, (btw if you want to see the ripped off originals track down Mondo Enduro or Terra Circa - which are waaaaaay more entertaining and interesting ).
Wouldn't you if you had a mate with more money than God

If he is after any spares Nibbles is trying to sell two boxes.
