  1. Believe it or not no :) . The headlights are so carp anywho's it doesnt make any diffrence. I did the mark a wall close up then reverse 20 feet thing and couldnt make out any diffrence with or without. Only use the truck occasionally during the day anyways. If I was driving any distance I'd just remove the tape for the journey. I'm kinda with you on the without thing. Looks nice and mean without but it does get alot of looks with the bar on. I've had people stop me in town and ask where I got it from :). I nicked it off the wifes Paj before I sold it :).

  2. Working from the rear of the arch forwards -

    110mm

    190mm

    190mm

    190mm

    190mm

    190mm

    200mm

Distance from a to b 800mm ( there is quite abit of flex in the arch tho so this can be adjusted ). I cant really see there being a problem with the arches fitting tbh. Pictures would be awesome ! :) With regards the spacers. I had 55mm ones fitted. 2 days later had to replace drivers side hub, cv joint, seals, bearings, swivel ball, everything. Nearside was fine tho so could have been coincidence but I felt uneasy with them on after that.

  3. I've had similar problems with flatdog. After sales just dont want to know. I fitted the fronts 6 months ago but wanted clarification on how to fit the rears, ( 5 door ) x3 emails, no reply. Got through on the phone twice and was told the workshop would get in touch regards the rears. Not a dicky bird :angry2: . I've got 50mm arches. I can measure the distance between the screw holes if its any help ? Fronts are on the car, rears are still sat in the garage. They can be moulded slightly but it should give you a good idea.

  4. Hi Guy's, ( and gals if there are any here lurking in the shadows :) ). I've got water pouring in through the winder mech of the front sunroof. Roof lining is out and I've sorted all the other leaks but cant get a handle on this one . Any idea's ???? Is there a seal in the mech that I cant see that needs changing or is it just a case of changing the main rubber seal ?? The seal looks good tho tbh. Can these roofs be adjusted to get them to clamp down more ?? I cant even tape it shut at the mo cause its howling down here :( Got a waterproof seat cover, towel, and sandwich box covering the centre consol at the mo but thats no good when driving :)

  5. Hi guys. I've got some lights out behind my dash switches, ( the ones on the side of the binnicle, wash wipe etc ) And the stereo controls dont do what they are supposed to do. Volume changes track etc. Do they just pop off ? I dont want to break them as its just had its mot and everything is working at the mo :)

  6. Might sound stupid but check your wheel bearings. Get each wheel off the deck and grab it at 12 and 6 and give it a wiggle. i thought the front cv joint had gone on mine but the wheel bearing was making the clunk. The hub had worn to the point that the track was turning and there was so much play the bearing was leaving the track with side pressure !!!!

  7. Looks as tho I've got the same problem with the bottom nuts on the rear shocks as well :( . Had a new windscreen fitted this morning yipee ! Then spent 4 hours getting frustrated and a hernia. I'll take the track rod off tomorrow and see how it goes. Dont know what I'm going to do about the bottom shock nut tho. Looks as tho I'll have to try and grind it off both sides. Whoa is me

  8. I've got to sort the mot out first and then I'll have to have a go and let you know how I get on. I've been waiting for about 6 months to fit mine and cant find anything on how to fit the rears :( funny really cos there are loads of disco's out there with them fitted but nobody knows how to fit them !

  9. Should probably also mention that it failed on the power steering pump and steering box leaking. A heads up for people cos I've never owned a landrover that didnt leak. I'm gonna change the pump pipe to box and change bottom seals in situ and hope it'll get back through the mot.

  10. It was a removable sat nav stand. The windscreen suction type. Deemed to be in my line of vision. Only made a mention to warn others if an mot is pending. As regards to maps, having spent years in the Royal Aretillery and now Scout Troops I'm not adverse to getting down and dirty with maps/compasses and bearings. I am however a gadget geek and like to put as much strain on my alternator as possible. Also Susie,( sat nav ), has a hot voice and I like to spend time with her on long lonely journeys :P .

  11. Sorry Marc. No luck yet. I've spoken to Flat dog twice over the last couple of months asking for some pics or instructions from their fitters. They are very helpfull on the phone but I've had no contact yet. There seems to be a lack of communication between office and shop floor as is usually the case.
