  1. All the known Brands mentioned previously ok. Manufacturers approved by Land Rover who have supplied Fuel Injection pumps & Injectors hve included Lucas CAV (now part of Delphi), Delphi, and Bosch. Bosch was the OE on Tdi 300 from memory, Delphi on the Td5. Bosch is OE on stacks of vehicle applications and you would not have problem with one of their products.
  2. All the wholesalers Allmakes, Bearmach, Britpart sell ther own brand bearings but they are cheap Chinese & Indian origin. You won't find any country of origin on the packaging. You are always best off sticking to the well known OEM bearing manufacturers, e.g. FAG, KOYO, NSK-RHP, NTN, SKF, TIMKEN. Most bearing applications are fairly critical and the well known brands are not that much more expensive than the cheap rubbish. The unbranded/own brand wheel bearing kits sell for around £9.75 to £13.00, you can get kits with Timken bearings for £19.00 and other OEM brands for slightly less. It's really not worth the small initial saving going for the unknown and then having to replace them again works out more expensive.
  3. Just for the record, although there are a few bearings that are common to LT77 & R380 boxes all gears & major components are different.
  4. Yes nice one ! They really should change their name to CHINAPART. You never see country of origin on their part number labels.
  5. Yes that's true, there is a big difference between a Land Rover Dealer buying Britpart and Land Rovers Parts Division buying Britpart and putting it in a Land Rover box. There are quite a few Dealers out there offering alternative parts but unfortunatley some of them don't what probelms they could be letting themselves in for, but soon will !! There's a big difference between offering quality branded product e.g. Ferodo Brake pads & Britpart filters for example. It's ok offering alternatives but quality is key & particularly if you are a Land Rover Franchised dealer.
  6. Whilst you need to be particularly careful of Britpart Oil seals, the 'G' ones should be ok. But some companies do use the 'G' suffix with a bit of artistic licence as previously stated. It should denote a part manufactured by an OE supplier, they use the 'corresponding to' term since some of the OE companies do not like them using their part numbers. The original supplier on this was GACO now Freudenberg (Corteco is their aftermarket Division). The seals used to have the markings 59.8x80.27x10/16 and IN53438 on them, also have the stub axle instruction on them. Not at work at the moment so unable to check the current stock. Be wary of any seal with the Land Rover number moulded in but with an 'R' in front. There is another OE alternative seal available to the Freudenberg Corteco one but Britpart would most likely not be using that. Hope this helps.
  7. All the gears are different in the Suff B, the builds are too far apart to be a helpful swop. Suff B uses the old narrow type output transfer gear. And the hi /lo gears have thick type dog teeth that will not mesh with the later ( thin type ) coupling sleeve in the suffix F. If you want to change the ratio you could try these guys Shop4autoparts.net if you give them your transfer box number they do overhaul kits and sell most of the gears individualy and some ratio change kits I think.
