  6. Have a small problem with a part identification on a 1998 300tdi cant seem to get the right part number for the temp sender our local landrover dealer has the choice of two , would anyone be able to identify the right one as am on my mac and my pc has sat down

  9. auto works on fluid being pumped through etc etc , u get a actual holding tool for the front pulley that allows you to torque it up tight

Well went over to his tonight jumped in fired it up , in neutral clutch up no noise clutch down rumble, so i removed the slave to be greeted but a lump of metal , turns out to be one of the lugs on the pressure/cover place that holds one of the 3 spring it has snapped of the clutch was a ap unit , so engine out at the weekend

On my mates Disco we changed the gearbox about 3 months ago with a unit from ashcrofts , we also replace rear crank seal pilot bearing and clutch and beefed up the pivot point on the fork Now the problem is he is finding it hard to select gears and putting the clutch down in first it continues to drive slighty , i havent been out to look at it going tomorrow but does anyone have any ideas i thought at first might be the slave but as said i havent had a look at it

  17. very true although i do buy little and often , but all my stuff at work is snap on toolbox , tools but low and behold i have a halfords 150 bit kit in my car i use everynight for homers
  18. it has a pressurized fuel rail so any leakage on a injector it would/possibly seep through , i dont know much about the td5 system but if other possibility's have been checked and ok then i would get them out and clean/checked but id check the glow plug as jim said before and any other bits and boobs like fuel filters are clean , their is no obvious fuel leaks , that the fuel isnt contaminated
  19. internal leak ie dripping inside the chamber u wont see , if everything else is ok id get the check if u can on a td5 injector
  20. in the trade so i can justify the price as i use my stuff every day all day
  21. i prefer snap-on sockets myself.....
  22. 12point 13mm socket or 1/2inch 12 point socket if they are damaged slightly
  23. hard to start and white/blue smoke apon starting
