The Range Rover Classic and the P38 were sold concurrently possibly from during 1993 to 1995. I do not believe the P38 is termed Classic. So you need to identify what Model of Range Rover you are discussing, either the original classic shape or the P38.
Was the p38 a ford product? They put the ford galaxy ecus on the floor so they got destroyed when the drainage channels got clogged by leaves and detritus!
Best wishes they are marvellous beasts when ok. Mine went for mot, service ( and a bit of welding!) beginning of March. Caught by lockdown, so got it back yesterday! Went in with central locking blowing a fuse. Drying out in the garage seemed to cure it!
Hi I would check all the connectors you unplugged to ensure theat were plugged in to their correct partners (if possible to confuse), no corrosion, petroleum jelly helps here, are making good contact. Regards (94RRC August)
I have a 94RRC registered September 1994. Every time is goes for MOT in the last few years it fails emission.
Had a new cat about 4 years ago , but it eventually scrapes through after tweaking.
As the p38 was on sale at the same time , I wonder whether the levels the mot station are given by DVLA system for the reg are confused by the fact there were 2 very different Range Rover versions?
Does anyone have the emissions listing for the RRC and the P38?
or any other comments?
Thankyou
Radio 2 coverage is not brilliant throughout the country, I find it often has weak areas these days. Living near Watford, for instance, there is a weak spot between junctions 18 and 19. Reading 3 and 4 no issues, in fact often retunes itself to 3. London and regional stations such as Heart no problem. If only one station very unlikely to be radio. I have a RRC94.
(94RRC) The ABS and probably saved us from serious injury a couple of times. It was amazing how it worked as it did not seem possible in the incidents. The only downside is I had to remove it when the WABCO Master cylinder failed , there are no replacements available and no one services them.
My son works for an established Land Rover independent garage. He tells me ACE is an option for RRs. However experience is they last about 3 years and the seals are not replaceable. So replacement is the only option. However take a lot of time and effort to replace depending on model. So labour costs can be quite high. Expensive, they usually recommend to customer to fit standard antiroll bar
Not fit for purpose, so simply get themtoreplace it, they cannot improve things unless they know there is an issue. Cannot be stainless if it is rusting!
Hi, my RRC sunroof is working but a bit sticky. What is the insitu maintenance care for the sunroof, if any. I have asked my garage and tried to search, but no indication so far of lubrication etc? Thanks.
My ordinal fobs have broken cases so bo not at tech to a key ring, 1 works fine , the otherflattens its battery in a couple of weeks or less. Bought 1 replacement from Remotekey. Co.uk. Has anyone registered new fobs on the system or has any advice/tips?
Has anyone used Autotronics Ltd to repair/ get new cases for fobs?
391148 RH, 391149 LH, are believed to be the part numbers for the lock barrels which have attached the operating cam plate for the latch. These are listed as obsolete and I cannot find a supplier that has any stock. Can anyone help, 94RRC, Vogue.
My RH lock barrel is ok but a detent in the operating cam on the end has broken so the key just turns the lock and not the cam.
