  1. not sure what to advise but i love inverter welders even the cheapo clark ones can produce a fine looking and strong weld. as for weather there any good to learn on, i see no reason y not. arc welding needs lots of practice, im not a pro but have been sticking bits of metal together for years, and now i do a good job!
  2. Oh no another landy in the area! but it is nice to here you want to use it rather than fit 35"s for the school run! I havent been laning for ages but i usually go for a quick play of an evening. the pay and play site mentioned in cornwall, is that bush farm? a friend with a G wagon goes there sometimes and likes it alot.
  3. Thanks all for organising the day and thanks to Martin who had a great day running around in the woods as my bitch, hes not used to seeing a whole day of a challenge event now he's using a land rover product for these easy days out in the woods! he'll be back to a Suzuki again given a few years... like me! it was a cracking day with lots of good punches we got 38 of the 40, one we skipped as we didn't have 44" boggers front and rear winches and lockers. the other we missed was due to another competitor being in progress of getting it and it was time to and have a bash at the special stage. It must have been a eye opener for challenge virgins but we loved it.
  4. i should have entered OEC Anton was asking me if i fancied it, but it was my mothers 80th birthday today.
  5. second attempt to post this! I will soon be using a freelander body for a project, i was wondering if the mechanical bits im going to skipping are worth anything?
