  1. Many thanks - that's really appreciated! Had a Google search and found the optional parts catalog - thanks for the tip.
  2. Hi, I'm trying to replace the heater control valve on my S3. It has a 200TDi conversion, and there is a threaded hexagonal spacer between the engine and the valve. Unfortunately this is not coming off the old valve despite significant persuasion. Does anyone know whether this spacer is a LR part? I'm assuming it's a fix to mate the S3 valve to the TDi, as I can't find it in the manuals I've found online. Here is the old valve with the spacer: This is where it goes into the engine: If anyone knows where I can order a suitable alternate, that would be fantastic. It's 40mm, but 45mm or even 50mm would be better. He control valve has a 15mm threaded section, and the spacer has a 10mm threaded male section. I'm not sure of the male and female diameters but I'd hazard a guess at them being M16. Thanks Dan
  3. Britpart parabolics are being recommended to me as they're now Santana specification. I am trying to find some suitable dampers to accompany them on a 109. Does anyone know if OME N69/N73 allow enough extension for parabolics? Procomp 9000s seem to be popular, but I'd err towards the RM versions with stone guards, which are out of stock. I've had success with OME dampers on 110s in the bush and would happily go for N69/N73 if they will work. Thanks in advance!
  4. Hi Snagger Agree regarding the security aspect. I'm planning on using the vehicle for travel and with bikes so would prefer to have them "out of sight" when inside. I like the look of utility station wagons, and detest Masai windows with a passion! Thanks for the details, that's much appreciated.
  5. Thanks for that. I'll refurb the glazed panels as well - options!
  6. Has anyone made a "utility" station wagon? I am considering this as part of a rolling restoration of my 109 SW. If anyone knows of any photos, I'd like to see. Couldn't find any via a Google search. Also, would an 88" side panel with no windows replace the 109" side panels as a direct swap? Thanks Dan
