  1. Well finally (after thinking and collecting bits for ten years!) I'm about to convert the rears to discs. All I need is a pair of discs and spacers. The diesel Jim method suggests using front discs (presumably 300mm X 70mm). Has anyone tried rear discs (290mm X 59mm)? This would require a 5mm spacer between the disc and hub or am I missing something? I'll probably get it all together and take some more measurements early next year. In the meantime has anyone used genuine rear discs?
  2. I believe Overlander also sell alu-cab. I too saw the ones at Stratford and they looked great it's just the price that puts me off.
  3. I use wolf wheels with tubeless BFGs. However, the spare is a tubed version (didn't know when I bought it!) And therefore has a tube fitted. They were a combination of colours when I bought them. Acid, primer and enamel black, and I'm really happy with the finish and looks. It took me six months to collect them off fleabay but they only totalled £90.
  4. I have a small internal one on the wind screen.
  5. Get a dab radio and save yourself the hassle.
  6. Last year it gave no indication that the battery was on its last legs, hence am now thinking about its relevance. But what would be more useful?
  7. What are the feelings on standard voltmeter gauges? I'm considering removing it and replacing with something more useful.
  8. Having checked again one bracket is rivetted and the other two are tacked on.
  9. Thanks Ralph but it's the small brackets (on the lever type) that rivets to the bonnet that I need. The large rectangular rubber fixes to the said brackets. I may have to remove one bracket and have a new set made.
