Hi, The arials are used to be between 2m and 2.5m long. This is the right lengt for a frequency of about 30 Mhz. TV Signals can be found from abt 48MHz (VHF), 180MHz (VHF III) to 470 MHz and above (UHF). The Military aerial does not fit to the most of this frequencies. It might work if you put an amplifier/converter between the whip aerial and you telly but I think this will not work good. bye Oli
