  2. i moved my 97 discovery out of the driveway to clear snow i left it running it surged and stopped it now wont start, it has no spart at all. do crank position sensors fail this way? i can hear the fuel pump running but it continues to run even though the engine is not running.the engine is a 4.0l v8 with distributerless ignition. any ideas i dont know where to start looking.
  3. my 97 discovery 4.0l is blowing the left side marker and tail light fuse ,but it takes about 10 min to blow initially but if i try to replace the fuse immediately it will blow at once . any ideas?
  4. well its not bad gas, it stalled again and would not start. I suspect a bad fuel pump. when fuel gets low the pump overheats, after it cools 10-15 min. it would start again. when 1/2 full or above it ran fine. but not this time, i think the pump is toast..
  5. seems the problem was low grade fue,l filled up with premium no problem since
  6. ah yes forgot,engine is a 4.0l v8 gasoline auto transmission.
  7. its happened again my 97 disco 4.0 has stalled and would not restart, seemed as if it ran out of fuel, but it is half full. after it sat 10 minutes started back up and has been running well since .this is the second time, could this be a weak fuel pump or malfunctioning fuel pressure regulator.would not start this morning it would fire but not stay running .used a small ammount of prime and started right away running fine since.any ideas?
