I will have another look at it all on monday. thanks for the info. Pics would be great if you get time to take any. my email address is andyburgess@live.com
Thanks

What did you have to do? From what I can see unbolt my runners, leaving my mounting points in place as they are welded to the floor.
Then angle grind the runners from the TD5 mounting points and weld the runners to my original mounting plates?
Would this work?
How did you do it?
Don't suppose you fancy driving to machester and fitting them for me lol
Hi guys, I have been given 2 front td5 seats. My drivers seat bottom has just given up Will this be easy to install or will it involve cutting and welding?
Not sure as I got mine from america. I can send you his email add if you want? I bought the 12v heated sedimentor and that part from the guy and it took about 1 week to arrive.
Send him a message asking if it fits a discovery filter house.
This is what I bought

and it works a treat
I run my car on 100% bio in summer then 50-50 in winter. I have fitted a water heater which sits between the filter and housing which makes it run better once engine starts to get warm. I have bought a 12v heated sedimentor filter which I have not yet managed to fit as I can't seem to get the fuel lines off the old filter
Seem to get slightly less mpg on bio
I have my roof lining out at the moment, Think mine is the seal what the glass sits on. would anyone know if I have to take the whole sunroof out just to replace the seal the sunroof sits on? already hady my sunroofs out and sealed around the plastic frame ect.
Would my disco have one of these units as mine was standard apart from the twin sunroofs. Would this mean plugging my car into a computer and turning the heated screen mfu on? then it's a case of finding where to put the wires could I not find or make a timer? just trying to find the easiest way to do this. s Unless there is anyone near Manchester who fancies the challange for 20 beers
Okay so I still have not fitted my kenlowe fan yet but I am already getting more parts for my next mod
A heated front windscreen hehe Got the wiring loom out of a late 300tdi with heated screen.
Just got the screen out today but will get someone to fit this who knows what they are doing.
Got the wiring loom out but I can't find the timer switch!! so on my loom I have:
Two connectors which go to the windscreen
two 30amp fuses (near the connectors to the screen)
one 70 or 60 amp large fuse which goes into the fuse box under the bonnet
and that is pretty much it apart from the wires which go to ground and some green wires which would go to the heated screen switch.
anyone have a wiring diagram for this mod? I will try and get some pics of the loom this weekend.
thanks
Andy
Thanks for the part number and photos Zardos. I shall be on the phone to them 1st thing in the morning then hopefully installing it Monday after noon. I will go with X-eng advice on where to mount the thermo, they know what they are on about and have grown a buisness from what they know what works and what does not.
