He's talking rubbish!
Lift the bonnet and push the headlight forward until the "poppers" give. Disconnect the bulb holders. New headlight fitting is the reverse.
On a good day it should take 60 seconds!
As the title.....
I'm replacing my hoses and want to swap to stainless pistons. I already have an unused stainless set in the garage but I don't want to pop the originals out to find they don't fit.
I'm after external diameter and length if anybody knows.
It's a 300 tdi with ABS as standard. Jap import.

It will be fine with the height but what about the weight?

Have a look at these. It's difficult to photograph. One shows the slack in the pin pulled up and one shows it pushed down.
Thanks for the replies.
I've emailed Llama 4x4 twice and had no reply in ten days. There are plenty of other suppliers who do take their time to answer customers emails.
I know who's not getting my money!
I'm 6'5" and when my up and over garage door is open it's 6'. Every single time I work on my motor I bang my head at least three or four times.
That's 100s of times over the years.
Oh yeah, I also set my overall on fire when I was welding once.
I tried the A frame joint today. I did it with a big pry bar and managed to punch myself in the face (twice) while lying under the truck
I'm guessing 6mm of vertical movement through the joint is not good?
I'd already bought an X-Eng joint and it's booked in on Wednesday. Fingers crossed.
I've recently developed a clunk. It does it when travelling over bumps in the road and sounds very much like it's from the rear end. Sounds just like something's loose - I've checked and nothing is!
For info.
New rear springs and dampers.
Polybushed all around.
Any ideas?
Before long I will have fitted the following......
Terrafirma +2" springs and Wizard +2" spring spacers,
Terrafirma +2" spring turrets and Terrafirma +5" long travel shocks and an X-Eng unlockable anti roll bar which allows 16" of droop (this will probably only be 12" as I have already mentioned the 4"lift).
The big question is.......
How long will my new brake lines need to be? I've already identified a possible supplier. Any other suggestions for good suppliers?
I've just had mine done at JE Engineering, complete with gas flowed intercooler.
Fantastic pick up. Pulls like a train. Cruises up steep hills on the A34 at 70mph all day long.
It's meant to add about 35-40BHP on top of the auto's 120BHP.
The downside is £650 plus VAT.
With locking pins....

As FridgeFreezer said, Q plates are not optional, they are the result of chopping/originality/identity, etc.
Q plates are not tax exempt. If the tax exempt date ever moves forward, you'll be paying and we'll be free.
