  1. What plasma cutter did you get Rich Broom or Daslandroverman?
  2. And a big hammer.....Best of luck with your new purchase.
  3. Now I"m no auto wiring expert but.... i did use the loom from Paddocks and for the money there just OK!!!. Not soldered and the relays look cheap..Certainly not Bosch.
  4. CwazyWabbit is spot on. Im in the south of Ireland. I put MOT so people in the UK would know what test I did.Sorry if i caused confusion. A while ago a school bus crashed not far from where i live, killing a young boy. The bus was carring 34 kids and had passed its DOE (UK MOT) 6 months earlier and it brakes etc were in a bad state.Since then things have tightened up here now. I feel your pain Farmerfred but if the testers keeps these "death traps" off the roads how can I give out. I will take the dash apart starting with the motor end and hopefully the play is next to it. Again THANKS for all your help.
  5. Sorry Muddy but I would get a 3/4 braker bar and 27mm socket to match. It takes some force to open mine.
  6. Hi All, I am looking for your advice as yesterday i failed my DOE/MOT !! A. Worn drivers door hinges. ( got a pair of "Blue" ones in the shead .OK i know but time are hard) B. To much play in the Windscreen wiper arms.. The inspector took one arm in his hand and rocked it over and back on the windscreen maybe 1" or so, both moveing .Next week i am on holls so i would like an idea of where the play happens ( Linkage)or what I parts i need to replace before i take the dash off etc. THANKS again for all your help!! .
  7. Justustwo I know you are in South Africa but before you start, is there any way you could get a new down pipe. There not that expansive, post is the big one.Welding exhausts is just OK.
  8. Wow Ralph, thats the dryest swivel ball i have ever seen!!
  9. For what its worth.. i had this problem on a 1985 Case tractor.Exhaust gases were leaking from betweem the turbo and manifold into the cab. I took all the pipes apart cleaned them up and got a tube of black past ( cant remember what its called,)from a tractor parts supplyer and put it back together.its works ok now.How long it will last i dont know. Hope this is of some help
  10. To be honest, all i did was plug in the new lamps.I did not even put in expensive bulbs!! If the light was bad, next thing good bulbs. But the lights are pretty good.I suppose in the intrests ot science i should pull the socket off one of the bulbs and put a meter on it.My 90 is a 1993.
  11. I also used Crystal wipacs and found them quite good. Like Western says with good bulbs (Philips etc).Other wise if you need better lights at nite cos of ,eyesight, wet winter nites etc go for 100w and up grade wireing, relay switchs While your in there get new indicaters and parkers. There small money.
  12. Spearos Can I be rude in asking what the parts cost you.
  13. THANKS for the info Snagger. My brake shields were well rotted, so right or wrong i took what was left off.One shot seems to be the way to go. Teabag " genuine parts Tefion balls"are these LR or Bearmach etc? Are they expensive?
  14. I think thats what has happened to the old swivell as it leaking badly. Am i right in thinking a new big outside seal will not cure it as the inside oil seal has failed?? I hate the thought of splitting the swivell ball and the tube..last time a bolt snapped off !! THANKS again Retroanaconda, Love your blog!!
