  1. You might consider getting an NAS Service Manual; (all were V8's), as additional reference; particularly if you go with an automatic (ie: '97 NAS). Good Luck with your project!
  2. Nothing wrong. They are supposed to do that...
  3. We've been under the impression that the ANR4636 PM steel wheel is the standard wheel used on new UK market Defenders. Is this not correct? I recall reading somewhere that the ANR4636 PM wheel replaced the riveted NRC7878 PM "109" wheel in 1996 or so as standard fitment on Defenders. Does anybody run tubeless tires on stock LR tubed steel wheels? Cheers, Garth
  4. The pesky air bag issue and Land Rover North America's complete disavowal of the Defender line don't help matters either... Garth '97 NAS D-90 SW LE '97 NAS D-90 SW '97 NAS D-90 ST
  5. ........I have recently come across a copy of Landrovers Water Ingress Manual for Defenders (LRL 0174), however, in German ... Would anyone have an original copy in English, or know where to get one - hardcopy or electronic version (pdf) ? Did you ever get the English version of the Water Ingress manual you needed? If not, I can email you the pdf file.. Garth
  6. What size are the factory jump seat to wheel house bolts? 11 mm? Any guidance sincerely appreciated.... Garth
  7. ....110 XS in Cairns Blue, with towpack & option rear seats Wow; great looking truck ! A brand new Defender. Alas, all we can do here is dream...... Garth
  8. I recently drove my D 1,250 miles from Seattle, Washington to So. California and saw only one other Defender the entire trip. Sighted a few new LR3's and RR's along the way. One bright spot, though, among the endless string of Suburbans, Escalades and mile high Ford Super Duty's that traverse Interstate 5 was a very fine sounding, modified Range Rover Classic who blasted by me with a wave of the hand (and foot to the floor) at a clip "considerably above the speed limit"... I'm new to this site, too (and have read the pinned info....) Hello all !
  9. Don't forget uninsured motorist coverage either! I'd think it fairly reasonable to assume that if a person does not have any auto insurance, then odds are it's likely they don't have a lot of assets to go after either.... If you are hit by an uninsured driver here, and as a result of that impact you hit another car, guess who the insurance company of the car you hit will come after ?? Garth Seattle, Washington
  10. Hey Jim; Building a 110....Are you missing "Janey"?? Good Luck overseas...(guess that means no more trips to Bainbridge for a while, huh?) Garth (Seattle)
