  1. Hi guys, Here is mine, made from old cargo barrier, fixed with 3 hose clamps (front, M6) and 2 brackets (rear sides, M8). I've tested different setups, that one seems the best for my needs. Additional sliders go under to fix camping table, and "quick boxes/shoe racks " on sides accesible via sliding windows (not shown on pics). Cheers, Ruslan
  2. Hi Hoggydo, Try next, might be helps. 1. Lift body (unload front springs) and use rubber hummer than. Possibly springs not in spot or loosen bolts somewhere. 2. Wheel bearings. Lift front wheel(s) off the ground and spin by hands, must be nice and smooth rotation. To compare you can do the same with other wheels. Mate of mine had the similar thing you described, ended up changing front left hub&bearings. Cheers, Ruslan
  3. Good insulation is important too! Sorry, can't tell for 07 model, but for TD5. I own Defender 110 TD5 here in Oz, it is good at -3 Driving in very hot (+40/45) conditions became much comfortable after adding insulation mats all around inside: roof, floor, doors, firewall. I used high density polyethylene film with a high density foam and an aluminum foil in total about 7mm, so virtually I drive a fidge Underbody covered with 8mm conveyer rubber mats. I found it made additional sound insulation; also I'm getting less mud sticked after offroading, not a lot to wash off; do not worry about stone chips and wood sticks; can't hear mud tyres on bittumen too. Cheers, Ruslan
  4. G'day All, I would like to ask you dear people to check my design and give me your opinion please. I'm on drawing stage of making wheel carier. At the moment I do not have welding/bending equipment, so idea is to make something not complicated and to be able to bolt stright on using existing holes on rear cross member. (To do welding job I'll ask in some local workshop, hope it's not big $$$). Main worry about rear member, because it looks not very strong for me. I'm going to put 10mm plate and bolt it in 6 points light blue on picture). The stub axel I'm going to use will be welded to this plate. Here is 2 pictures: Thanks, Ruslan
