  3. Challenger 4x4 and Mud Monsters have been talking, and Seems like the king of the valleys style of event has some major interest. So with this we would look to run a smaller scale event a bit closer to home, as we dont have the space that walters area has. This Event will be a joint venture run by Mud Monsters and Challenger 4x4, Paul and Lucy are as keen as we are at mud monsters to have a well run and safe event, Proven by all we have hosted before, Paul and myself spoke alot last year about the lack of 2 day events in the south east, and now you have one. It will NOT run under MSA regs and will be fully insured and regulated as needed. We will have fast field sections, fast wood sections, River runs and Bog runs. We would look at having 15 special stages set into the track as well. The idea is a 6-10 Km track with plenty of challenging terrain. 15 special stages set into the track. For each lap you do you must complete 1 of the special stages. Winner will be the truck that completes the most laps with a special stage per lap. Each special stage will contain a numbered punch. You must get each punch before you get to fill the second card, thats if you get that far. :wooyay :wooyay The circuit will include winching and technical, speed and endurance. It would have the room to over take and be wide enough that if one truck is blocking one route another option is available. We would also like to put in some kind of class structure as well. :shock We have been speaking to a few of the big event followers ( Croatia & Transylvanian Trophy) Who would like some thing closer to home for fun and testing so here is your chance to bring the family down for some camping and to show them what you get up to when you are away. ;wink ;wink The lay out for the week end will be this. Site open from from friday 24th Aug 2pm to set up camp. The site Is Mud Monsters 150 Acres site in sussex. 15 minutes from Gatwick Airport. Great bit of sussex country side with plenty of parking and Camping area. Camp fire, toilets, Burger bar and all the best sussex has to offer. Day 1 Saturday 25th Aug 2012 Scrutineering and sign in sat 7:30-9:30 am Prologue Section starts 10:00 am - 12pm Lunch and Prep time 12pm-2pm Racing starts 2pm End of racing for day 1 6pm Aprox Sat night will be a Hog Roast and some Beer drinking with a bit of a party. ;wink ;wink Day 2 Sunday 26th Aug 2012 Catering open for breakfast from 8am Racing will run from 10am-3pm Scores and prize giving 4pm Event Cost is £200.00 Per truck and includes Lunch and Hog Roast on saturday and Breakfast on sunday morning for the driver and Co-driver. :shock :shock There will be a pay pal link up soon and when we start to get some drivers there will be a drivers list. Truck entry will be set at 30 max. Regs and class system are being worked out and again posted soon. 8. After such a successful first year in 2011, and after much enthusiasm from every one that took part we are looking to run a 4 part series again this year in 2012. 3 out of 4 sites are confirmed, and the last is an old favorite that i know always gets a good turn out. We have one of our sites this year that will be brand new to the challenge scene and with nearly half a mile of river we can use, it will sure be a good fun event. Events will run under the same sort of format as last year, with taped sections and taped routes. We will look at having some of the taped routes timed, with a point reduction system in place, so the faster you get through the more points you can earn. 50 or so punches will be out there for all abilities to collect. Again as last year we will have a class system in place to keep it fair, wether you have a standard truck with 1 winch, or a uni-mog buggy with 3 winches,, you will all stand the same chance i hope. Events will run on sundays only, but you can turn up from lunch time on the saturday for camping and to walk the sections if you wish. We will look to have a sponsor for each event and i hope with some good prizes for the top overall 3 places, and also some nice flash trophies to hand out like last year. Each Event will cost £55 per Truck for the driver and co-driver, Each driver must me a member of Mud Monsters. Events will run under Mud Monsters private insurance and Public Liability. All trucks will have to pass Scrutnieering on the sunday morning before entering event. Please follow links below for pay pal and web site. Also for regs and class system. DATES Round 1 1st April,, not a joke Round 2 13th May Round 3 17th June Round 4 22nd July May be a night section and big party, same as last year LINKS www.mud-monsters.co.uk/ more to follow Yours all the team at Mud Monsters
  9. I would like to say Andy and i hope to be at most of these, but being in the top class may shake things up abit.. any way looking forward to it. 10. We so far we have had good feed back, There is the odd one out there that may have the arse with us doing this event, but that may only be down to jealousy. I think the hard choice from here is how to run it, and may be to go down the msa route.. not sure what every one thinks about that. Im sure there are up and downs, but as long as it is a good fun safe event i think that is all that matters, Any one that knows mud monsters, knows we work hard to make sure you enjoy the event, and so far we have a pretty good track record. Any way we are still open to your opinions and looking for sponsor ship to make those top 3 podium places worth standing on. Any way merry christmas all. Mark @ Mud Monsters
  11. At this point just seeing if we can tick all the boxes.. At mud monsters we do have high standards, and i would want this event to be as good as every thing else we do.. in order to work, as with all events it is about numbers, so lets see how we go. so far looking good tho. mark mud monsters
  12. Testing the water. Seems like the king of the valleys style of event has some major interest. So with this i would look to run a smaller scale event a bit closer to home, as we dont have the space that walters area has. I know it has been tried before, and some times has not had the following, I world run it Mud Monsters style, This would be a well organized and well laid out event, (just like every thing else we do). We will have fast field sections, fast wood sections, River runs and Bog runs. Would look at having special stages and some team building as well. Would look to race the the circuit one way on the first day and the other way round for the second. It would include winching and technical, speed and endurance. Camping and Beer. It would have the room to over take and be wide enough that if one truck is blocking one route another option is available. Also may be some kind of class structure as well. Have been speaking to a few of the big event followers ( Croatia & Transylvanian Trophy) Who would like some thing closer to home for fun and testing. At this stage i would like to gage interest and look to find some sponsors as well. Alot of you know us at mud monsters now, and know how much effort and work we put into each event to make it first class. Feel free to post up what you want and any ideas, Event will be Sussex in the summer, if numbers are good there will be a hog roast included as well. Yours Mark Mud Monsters
