  1. Tks all, When I say "correct" I meao that led spotlamps doesn't match the classical design of RR. I do have relays, twin batteries, a winch and an inverter, do not know too much about electricals. With original alternator I_ had problems, now it´s fine! Best all mbm
  2. Thanks for your input. 1. Leds are not the "correct" ones. 2. I have the spotlights. 3. 120 Amp alternator fitted, no current problems. 4. I have aircon... 5. No doubt that airflow wil be compromised. I´ll try this next month in Morocco, if needed I´ll unistall it. All the best. Mario
  3. Hi all, I am considering to fit to my RR 200Tdi a pair of Hella Rallye 1000 (18cm diameter) and a pair of Hella Comet 500 (16 cm diameter). My question is if this can compromise air flow to intercooler and radiator. Here temperatures very often are over 35º C. Regards Mario
  4. Hi all, Regarding for an intercooler upgrade to my 200 Tdi Manual: 1. Are 200 and 300 tdi original intercoolers interchangeable? 2. Are the "chinese" upgrades from Ebay any good? 3. An used Allisport full size intercooler from 300 tdi can be fitted to my 200 with minor adaptations? Best Regards
  5. Rob: all seals and washers are in the right place, slave too. I can feel the pressure in the master. Les: how can I check the operating rod issue? I have removed the slave and the operating rod, mounting I have felt a big pressure to place the pumpand suddently it went to his place (other way wasn't possible to do the bolts...) I´ll check again.
  6. Thanks, Les: Clutch fork was checked and the operating rod is in place....
  7. Hi all, I´m helping a friend to get on the road a 200 Tdi that was parked for 4or 5 years. The clutch pedal had any pressure so we replaced seals on master and slave pumps, bleeded and still no pressure. The master pump has pressure, the slave has pressure (tested manually and out the LR), tried reverse bleeding and still no pressure. What are we doing wrong? (Seals are in the correct position...) Best regards, Mario
  8. Dear all, A friend of mine has bought an 1998 110 2.5TD. The engine runs smooth, and pulls like a charm. After servicing we have dropped in 6.5 litres of oil and the level in the dipstick is over the max line by 2". The level is reached with only 5 liters. Any suggestions on what look for?
  9. Hi Les, Yes it is in the same position. But in the last 200Kms the leak vanished, perhaps the correct torque was the cure. If it comes again I'll try the fix you propose, I have somewhere "high pressure" RTV. Thanks a lot,
  10. I wasn't able to fully remove the bolt as it hits the fan. As it was released water replaced oil, as expected. The bolt had no signs of oil leakage, nor water. Tightened to the correct torque... and a little of road to test everything seems to be ok! Funny...
  11. Fridge, I think you may have the better guess. Next Saturday I 'll undo the bolt and run the engine a litle, to see what happens.
  12. There shouldn't be any oil! The engine was rebuilt 35000 kms ago, top professional work, the best material... Well maintained, used mostly off road. It forms a "pond" over the place I must steam clean time to time. Have no oil/water mixed, the oil consumption is very low, no overheating. The oil seems coming fom inside, bottom to top...
  13. Hi all, A litle help, please. My 200 Tdi is leaking in top of water pump. The enclosed pictures were taken 10 kms after steam cleaning the engine. Thanks!
