if you're talking about a dixon bate affair, the 4 holes on the slider want to be closest to the ground. As in these pics http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LAND-ROVER-DEFENDER-90-110-ADJUSTABLE-TOW-KIT-1984-98-/280503534402?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item414f504342
Tachographs are required for any vehicle over 3.5T that are being used commercially. Eg a 3.5T transit towing a trailer needs to have a tacho fitted.
There are a few exemptions such as emergency services.
Another reason why I can't understand why landrover do not offer Tachographs as a factory fitted option.
Woken up this morning and I've lost one mudflap and the others about to follow! Seems to have broken off the rear tub
Can I have part numbers for both rear mudflaps and mounting brackets please!
Chris
I saw a traffic cops program where a woman got booked for it, Driving with incorect license and obviously no insurance as she didnt have a proper license to tow...
I stuck my head out of the window on my test, examiner had no dramas with it
Other thing you could consider is doing D1 and then D1+E which will upgrade you to B+E too? Depends if you ever have to drive minibuses.
Chris
I did my B+E two years ago using a family run business in Portsmouth. Its well worth doing, but be aware they expect a high standard of driving.
Managed to pass with only two minors first time though.....
