  1. So have we concluded that there is a slightly different gearbox crossmember for the auto box compared to r380?
  2. Hi chaps, I thought the bolt holes would be the same on all but wasnt sure if the crossmember i have with the mounts attached was the same for the zf box and r380, Orgasmic Farmer a picture would be useful if you have one please? Or if snyone has parts diagrams for the 300tdi chassis that would be even better :-) Cheers
  3. Hi all, I have picked up a chassis that originated from a 300tdi automatic discovery, it has the gearbox mounts incorporated into the gearbox crossmember, im hoping to fit an r380 gearbox and trying to workout whether both gearbox's use the same mounts or whether i need different chassis mounts to fit the manual box? If anyone can shed some light onto this that would be great. Cheers
  4. Ah thanks Western and the novice, looking at the picture they look fairly straight forward to fabricate so think i will go down that route. Cheers
  5. Western: Yes thats what im after, didnt know that was there correct name. Landy Andy: Im after the actual sills as oppose to the sill covers.
  6. Hi everone, Just gathering parts for my 100" build and im looking for land rover 90 sills, everywhere i look all i seem to find is the sill strips/ covers which isnt what im after, if anyone has a part number and more importantly knows a place i can get them that would be great. Cheers guys
  7. I drilled and tapped the drive flange, fitted a grease nipple, i was unsure as to whether it would work but had very good results, and had a noticable increase in wheel bearing life.
  8. Ive got rebel 4x4 guard http://www.rebel4x4.co.uk/steering_guards.htm i like it, looks ok, has protected well, sturdy and seems to be the cheapest available so cant complain
  9. i would probably use there crank seals
  10. if its a 90 then thers a drain plug on the bottom of tank, as for other models im not sure
  11. speak to north offroad as they sell a kit that attached to a cut down 90 roof and it gives a proffessional look and is good value imho
  12. i got longer grease nipples from difflock shop, job done
  13. ah in that case i would change the seal in the swivel ball/axle aswel as its not an expensive part Swivel housing gasket - FTC3646 swivel seal - FTC3401G inner gasket swivel housing - FRC4206 swivel grease - STC3435GEN halfshaft seal - FTC3276G think that covers everything
  14. Not necessarily, it cud just have gease put in it and oil, making that mix.
  15. standard loom takes power from starter motor stud, so that could be an option, keeps battery box uncluttered aswell
